And so begins another trip on this beast called the internet...
Yes, im the rookie to the site, and a rookie to the hall. The firehall has always been my home, being raised there and looking to everyone like family. Finally got the chance to join the explorer post came around and i go nuts.. Then i turn 16 and the fun really began. Now im taking the big classes, working my ass off, shinning trucks, cleaning floors, putting up christmas lights, running calls, going to EMT and fire…

It's been awhile since I posted a blog because it's been awhile since I have something to talk about. Things were sooooooo slooooooww for soooooooo looooooong...
That's over now. A minor MVA got us out a few days ago and I said then 'this is going to break our dry spell'. Well it did. We've had a few small calls since then and we did a training burn today that was frankly a lot of fun. But fate being the fickle finger that it is I'd no sooner gotten out of the shower this afternoon…

I wish you could know what it is like to search a burning bedroom for trapped children at 3 AM, flames rolling above your head, your palms and knees burning as you crawl, the floor sagging under your weight as the kitchen below you burns. I wish you could comprehend a husband's horror at 6 in the morning as I check his wife of 40 years for a pulse and… |

I'm what you would call "Sparatically Responsive", when it comes to writing to my friends and simply responding to new ones. Sometimes I may shock you with a quick reply...and other times, you may get a note from me days, weeks, or maybe even months down the road! No joke! Ask my 'MySpace' pals! I'm not bragging about my inability to keep in touch like a friend should, I'm just openly admitting that I rarely am quick to reply. Okay, so there ya go! I promise to open my email and beginning…

Getting the word out about what your fire department is doing for its community is a never ending task. But, it doesn't have to be an expensive or time consuming one if you're smart about it.
I write a lot. I mean a lot. I have my blog here and I also write as a featured blogger for the Buffalo News at www.buffnews.com/yourhub/southtowns. I also write frequent submissions for two local publications, the…

A friend of mine posted this on MySpace. Its kind of a health warning, I suppose.
BUTTER VS. MARGARINE...
Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do to with this product to get their money back. It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it…

Bono Fire Department is looking to get a small rescue craft set up for diver team. The county we live does have a dive team but.. is run by the sheriffs department and is not a rescue dive they are…

The other night i was on my way home after just leaving the hospital. We where dispatched to an elderly man who hit his head. So I turn my emergency lights and siren on and go to the scene. My wife was in the car with me and I told her to drive to the end of the drive about maybe a quarter mile long so our trucks wouldn't pass it up. I just happened to grabbed some gloves while at the hospital thank god. i come through the front door and this man's wife is panicing. I finaly found him face…
