* The more equipment you see on a EMT's belt, the newer they are.
* Examine all chest clutchers first, bleeders next, then the rest of the whiners.
* When dealing with citizens, if it felt good saying it, it was wrong.
* All bleeding stops...…

I wish you could know what it is like to search a burning bedroom
for trapped children at 3 AM, flames rolling above your head, your
palms and knees burning as you crawl, the floor sagging under your
weight as the kitchen below you burns.
I wish you knew the unique smell of burning insulation, the taste of
soot-filled mucus, the feeling of intense heat through your turnout
gear, the sound of flames crackling, the eeriness of being able to…

There are some very good videos on these sites, lots of good opportunities to learn from other departments whether they do it right or it may be an example of what not to do.

I want to thank all Veterans for the things you do and have done in preserving the freedom and values of the greatest country in the world. Veterans are the foundation for the great pride held by Americans.
I will also take this opportunity to thank my father; my lifelong hero and United States Marine (Korea) Semper Fi
I just got some news about a niece of mine. A little girl whom I adore. She is having some medical problems right now, and I am so upset. One thing I never understood is why children suffer. Why God allows them to lay in a hospital bed in pain, while the rest of us are helpless to protect them from such things. This stems back from when Selena was a baby. All the countless times she was admitted to the hospital, IV's in her arms, feet, and even the top of her head once.…

A member of a local community might not realize the devastating aspect of a decrease in volunteerism until they have a personal emergency. Think of someone having to wait for an ambulance at home because either there are no volunteers to cover the call, or there is no funding available so the people in the community have to rely on paid, out of town…

Well I thought this would be a good question. I personally have on or in my turnouts: 3 door stops, pliars, cutters, rope, light, pass device, a piece of strap i use for 2in2 out rule really helps a ton unless it gets stuck on something, multi-tool, helmet light if i can find it. So yea Id love to hear about what everyone else never goes in with out. Well everyone stay safe out there
