I started my career as a volunteer firefighter, I began taking as many classes as I could through Georgia Fire Academy to build up my resume and get a job as a paid firefighter. I went to EMT school as well and soon enough I got on with a Metro Atlanta area fire rescue department. I have numerous classes from Georgia Fire Academy as well as the National Fire Academy. I am a member of my department's HMRT and I am a paramedic, also I am currently attending a local college to get a Fire Science degree
I am a second generation firefighter/paramedic and company officer. I never wanted to do anything else.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
the way my sons look up to me.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
understaffing and underfunding.
More about me
What to say that is not in the about me? I have two sons 3 1/2 & 22months old. I am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, I returned home in June of 2006 after one year in country. I spent the first year of my tour in Iraq in the infamous Triangle of Death just outside Baghdad close to the beginning of the Anbar Province. Even though I was seperated from my young family for a year and a half including train up, I am proud to be a combat veteran. I did not include the name of my agency or it's location because our department's administration holds a negative view toward MySpace and anything that looks remotely like it so I can't put anything online with my department's name or anything like that, I have to be very careful about what I put on my profile. If you want to know what agency I work for or where it is I will be happy to send it to you in an email or MySpace message. I am currently attending classes to get my A.A.S. in Fire Science, after that I plan to transfer to a B.A. program for Public Safety Leadership, & eventaully go to graduate school. I am hoping to make Captain this year and eventually I want to be a Fire Chief somewhere.
Looking for this EMS gentleman.docxI am looking for the gentleman in the photo whom I believe lives in the area of Georgia. He has done nothing whatsoever wrong, nor am I chasing him for anything, but someone is operating in the UK on the pretence of being him and attempting to extort money from innocent people and I think he should know all about it. After all, this is not only an indictment on him but also on the trust people have in the EMS services (I refer to the attached photo displaying the EMS badge which has been deliberately used to promote his honesty). I know I would want to know if it was being done to me. So if you recognise him, can you please advise me or ask him to contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone on 00 44 1566 770 751. If you or the gentleman in the photo would like to call me, I am happy to call you straight back and I will give him all the details on this matter.
