and i thought i would share....

9-11

Everyone who was alive and old enough when 9-11 happened remember where they were, what they were doing, and how they reacted to the tragedy. When they did, we all just stared at the TV. At first, we really didn't really know what was happening... until we…

Just Me

I guess many people just know me as who I am today. Mother of a 4 year old little boy. He is my world. He is homeschooled as they won't put him in the proper educational setting he needs. They know me as a firefighter, a first responder and a friend. Those who ONLY know me from Tennessee may not know that this is not my first fire department ever. I have been with two others in the great state of Connecticut. Attawaugan Volunteer Fire Department and Old Lyme Volunteer Fire…

This is What Makes Fire Personal such a Special Breed.

COHOES, N.Y.-- William McKay will get a fireman's funeral. The 7-year-old Cohoes boy died early Thursday from cancer, just days after local fire companies granted the boy's last wish to become a firefighter.

William mouthed the words "I love you" before he slipped into unconsciousness. Family members and fire department badges surrounded him when he died at 3:12 a.m. in St. Peter's Hospital's hospice care unit.

"His only concern was that his mommy and sister were fine. He didn't…
