Our department was just told by our board that we had 30,000 dollars to either use or save for next year. So like any other normal organization we plan to use probably every single dime. lol. Well if anyone here is around north eastern arkansas, Im sure you know of the Bono Lake project. it is suppose to be a 130 acre man made lake. I found out last night they are considering letting it be a diving lake. This is a big deal to a ton of people around here many many people are divers. The other night i was on my way home after just leaving the hospital. We where dispatched to an elderly man who hit his head. So I turn my emergency lights and siren on and go to the scene. My wife was in the car with me and I told her to drive to the end of the drive about maybe a quarter mile long so our trucks wouldn't pass it up. Well I thought this would be a good question. I personally have on or in my turnouts: 3 door stops, pliars, cutters, rope, light, pass device, a piece of strap i use for 2in2 out rule really helps a ton unless it gets stuck on something, multi-tool, helmet light if i can find it. So yea Id love to hear about what everyone else never goes in with out. Well everyone stay safe out there

Well our department has been looking into video taping and still pictures. I have found here on the internet a small video camera that can be mounted onto our helmets that plugs right into a computer. Its supposed to be water resistance and last up until flash over temperatures. ContinueOur fire department maybe volunteer, but we cover more miles than most in our state around 300 because of all the farm land. We run fire protection also for a town 20 miles away. Our airpacks are not the fiberglass nice light ones oh heavens no. so far after my last time on here we have done 65 more calls 12 house fires a ton of wrecks and medicals.
