On Friday we buried a brother and friend. Driver Jarrett A. Dixon died on Saturday Jan. 12th after sufffering chest pains will working out at Station 5. I continue to realize we can go at any time, so I try hard not to dwell on petty crap. I love this job, and I am fortunante to be doing it with a great group at Station 13. Jarrett left behind an example of the kind of…

No one would do our…

I didn't have any but I knew that I had put some Hand Lotion on the…

As juggling acts go, I still need alot of practice. When I screw up I screw up big time. But when I get it right ,"OH YEAH, WHO'S YOUR DADDY NOW" These last two weeks have been real eye openers for me. What have I learned.......
1. That if a person says that they will teach me something, make sure that they don't have an audience that they are playing too.…

: After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, 'I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you.'
* * *The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my mother, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.
* * *That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a…
