On Friday we buried a brother and friend. Driver Jarrett A. Dixon died on Saturday Jan. 12th after sufffering chest pains will working out at Station 5. I continue to realize we can go at any time, so I try hard not to dwell on petty crap. For those of us that have lost a brother or sister firefighter we truley recieve a sobering reminder that life is too short. I love this job, and I am fortunante to be doing it with a great group at Station 13. Jarrett left behind an example of the kind of firefighter each of us should be. He cared as much about the brotherhood as he did his family, he would drop everything he was doing if one of us needed help. He also was driven, passionate and often a pain in the adminstration's side. So take a moment and think about what this job, the people you work with and your family mean to you.

Tomorrow is promised to no one!!!

Goodbye Jarrett, rest easy, your job here is done!!!
