Big Move

Well I just moved from CT to NH. Big Life change wow, people are so much nicer up here. LOL. Anyway 2nd night saw a mooose in my backyard ( holy crap)!! Awesome!!!Hope to meet some cool people, actually I have from the Grantham Fire Dept I just joined. Feel free to add stuff or comment please.

I don’t know, maybe I’m just pissed over all this and thinking about the past too much today. You guys tell me what you think.

Ok, so I have to vent or I’m going to lose it. As I sit here at my desk thinking about today’s history in the fire service. I think about all the times I have taught RIT or LODD case studies and see these blank looks. Structure Fire

WOW we had another incident, a structure fire in an office warehouse that houses electronic bingo games. The call went out as a burglar alarm at around 3 AM and once the Sheriffs got there they were calling it fire thru the roof working structure fire. Tonawanda Baby in Hospital After Being Attacked By Dog

A three month old baby was attacked in his own home on Gath Terrace in the City of Tonawanda during Sunday afternoon. Police say one of the family's dogs, an American Staffordshire Terrier, attacked the baby after the mother briefly left the child in a room that was gated off. Thief Trapped While Trying to Break into ATM

Bad Night

Training got messed up last night due to a bad call, We got sent out at a little after 1800 hrs for fatal auto accident, not a good way to start the night. We actually ended up going on 3 MVC's before things let up, all due to the weather here in the Dayton area. Training

Tonight we have training, to which I am not quite sure what we are covering, although from the schedule we are supposed to go over gas monitors, radios, etc. But no matter what it should be good, even if its something we might know there is always something to pick up each time. there is only 1 more training session for the year in 2 weeks, and barring me getting hurt I will have gotten a perfect attendance on fire training and that will go along with perfect attendance for our EMS training to… Continue

Strange dispatch and calls

This past weekend our area had some strange dispatching going on that kinda like mad a few of us on the engine wonder, there was a call for a choking at a fastfood restaurant in our district but they only called the medic for it, now granted they said they were breathing and it is our policy that it is dispatcher discreation on who they send, but what was crazy about it was later they sent us to a call and all it said was for a bleed, we get there and the person basicly only stubbed thier toe… Continue

Weekend

Sorry I wasn't on more this weekend, this was a crew weekend which meant I had to be ready all weekend (Vollie), and then I really haven't been in a good mood all weekend. Just alot going on and quite frankly to damn slow on the calls, which believe it or not is what usually kicks me out of a blue funk. But I do try to get on here to wish all my Brothers and Sisters to be safe. This mood will pass in time and I will be in a better mood soon.

Death of an innocent

One of my student workers just called me to let me know he wouldn't be into work tomorrow because he was in jail for DUI and bemoaning the fact his car was sized and he would probably lose his license (obviously must not be his first DUI) and all the money he would have to spend in court costs, attorney fees and bail. Back In the Saddle

I’m back to work after being a stay-home mom for a while to take care of the two youngest in our house. This year the youngest started school, and I started working for a paid EMS service two days a week. I work two 12 hour shifts – that’s really all I need. My agency responds to emergencies, as well as doing inter-facility transports. Can You Help Me Find Pictures?

Hey all! Well I said I was going to get around to this so I better get started. I want to make a new Slide featuring SAR and Schtz dogs.
