1. You can tell what type of fire it is by the smell of smoke 10 miles away. 2. You have ever had a heated debate over the color of fire trucks. 3. You have ever been airborne without an aircraft and water was… |

As we approach 2008, let us be thankful for the important things in 2007. With good comes bad as we all know. Let us be thankful for our families that miss and worry for us every third day. Make it happen and be true to keeping brothers safe. It all starts with the span of control, right? Usually we have a couple guys…

Becoming a firefighter is not just about the Fire Academy Firefighter I program. It's more than just the countless hours of training, demanding physical labor and sleepless nights. It is about the flames, destruction and unknown. And it is about going through it with the guys on your line. The firefighters who hang their accountability tag next to yours, no questions asked except for "Ready?".

I was just wondering what everyone thought of dating someone in the same field as you. Do you think it would work out if you date someone who is a firefighter and first responder. My feelings I think it would work out, because you know what ur girlfriend or boyfriend is going through. Just leave a message and let me know what you think.
Thanks

Before I give my views on the draft I need to let you know my background. I joined the army 8 days after my 18th birthday. It was during the Iranian hostage crisis, Carter was the president, the cold war was very chilly. I spent most of my 12 years wearing the uniform in the Texas Army National Guard. I love the army, I have the utmost respect for all of the men and women who wear the uniform today. It is an all volunteer force and all of the people in the armed services today have enlisted…
