Fire Officer I examination

I finally got off my butt and registered for my Fire Officer I examination. I still have one more Fire Officer II class and I have to complete a Business Communications and Macrocomputer Application class to finish out my Fire Officer II AND THEN I'll be eligable to promote to lieutenant.

In other exciting news, I still haven't…

"Candidate"

Candidate. Not probie, not rook, not FNG, just candidate. This is the term used for probationary firemen in the chicago fire dept. Why is it important to me, you ask? No, unfortunately, i am not a candidate yet. But "candidate" is my nickname.

I was given this name by engine company 22 of the chicago fire dept(3rd shift). I met these guys about a year and a half ago. Those guys have been a part of my life ever since. Since the past summer I've been actually riding with those guys. I…

Ontario Seat Belts Law and how the law changed....

This week starts off with the Seat Belts across Ontario with the Police.

There where 10 people packed into Ford Windstar minivan is far above normal occupancy where there are only 7 seatbelts. The driver…

For the hundreds of thousands of Youse

That have made requests to be a friend , I am sorry as of yet I've not bothered to to the obligatory "thanks for the gumball" I spend hours on line, being newby to the net with my own real live pc.. plus moderating my own live site... point is I am very well aware and accept pretty much all requests, I do tend to get into the history and checking some other threads out here, usually blabbing on and on aimlessly if you have a specific question , area of interest etc... feel free... Things to do (from Billy Goldfeder)

Hey...

If there was a "list of things to do before we are done" for Firefighters, there could be a wide range of things that we oughta or want to do....and

will make a good story in the near future. But the one detail I very

seriously mention way more than anything else is for every Firefighter

to at least once...attend the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial

Weekend.…

Little girl firefighter(This will be my daughter in a few years)LOL

A fire fighter is working on the engine outside the station when he

notices a little girl next door in a little red wagon with little

ladders hanging off the sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the

middle.

The girl is wearing a fire fighter's helmet.

The wagon is being pulled by her dog and her cat.

The fire fighter walked over to take a closer look.

"That sure is a nice fire truck," the fire fighter says with

admiration.

"Thanks,"… Continue
