This is my first entry here on FirefighterNation.com. As you can see that on my profile i don't respond to my info about what rank, post, and so forth. Just to be honest i don't have nothing right now when it goes comes to experience.....I have taken the EMT class before but failed because my partner screwed me over on the practical final that was half of my grade. Now i have to take that class over. I've been thru the ambulance ride alongs before but it was only three ride alongs combined with 13 hours each shift from 7am-8pm or sometimes it was longer than expected. i volunteered with AMR, Care and Bower's. Then i volunteered with Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital for ten weeks and i had some stories with the hospital. I'll post those later! Yeah I have some clinical skills with the Medical Assistant field and completed the course with a certificate of completion but....it wasn't where i wanted to go. Now I just want to get my EMT done and get certified. Currently taking some fire tech classes and it has been a while i haven't been at school so i'm a little rusty. That's pretty much it for me!

Hang in there, like Firebabe said you have to protect yourself. When you get in the field is when you find the folks that will cover your back. Just know what you want to do and go for it. Find an old hand local you can trust and have them help you through.

I understand that...my parnter missed a lot of classes so we never got comfortable to work together. My instructor told me to protect myself at any cost. My parnter almost called for nitro when we could not so I screamed at her to stop. I passed and she did not bc she called anyways but I passed bc i tried to stop her.
