I finally got off my butt and registered for my Fire Officer I examination. It doesn't really mean much yet at work, except that I should be able to ride out of class as a lieutenant after I finish a clearing process at work. I still have one more Fire Officer II class and I have to complete a Business Communications and Macrocomputer Application class to finish out my Fire Officer II AND THEN I'll be eligable to promote to lieutenant.

In other exciting news, I still haven't lost any more weight!!! I'm not real happy, but, I can be patient. I didn't get fat overnight. Granted, I haven't worked out in three days and I didn't exactly eat great yesterday. On a positive note, I am noticing some muscular definition in my arms and legs. And, I am wearing a size smaller jeans. So, I keep the faith and adjust my goal of being back doan to 220 lb by October 1st.

OH, one more thing!! Some of you may know this... On Monday, September 24th, Chili's restaruants are donating 100% of their profits to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. They have a website: www.createapepper.com Check it out and try to swing into a local Chilis.

Good Luck on the Fire Officer I exam Heather. I know what you mean about it not really meaning much at work, it seems like these exams thatthe departments put so much inportance on for the recognition factor, means a lot to talk about but noa lot of stock put into them when promotion time comes around. I stiil feel like if a person has the knowledge, the ability, and the common sense to apply it all on a daily basis is a key element. Sounds like you have all things going in the proper direction. Wish you luck with your promotion and your career.
