IAFF ENDORSES DODD

Well

we can't expect a Leopard to change his spots can we? I guess this

comes as no surprise to the rank and file that IAFF President Harold

Shaitburger has supported another DEMOCRAT for president. It also comes

as no surprise to the rank and file that the we were not consulted. No

poll, no questionnaire, no debate, no meetings, no Q & A, no

nothing. Just the International…

God and The Brotherhood

"THE BROTHERHOOD"

Once upon a time in the kingdom of Heaven God went missing for seven days. Eventually, Michael the Archangel found him.

He inquired of God, "Where were you?"

God breathed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds. "Look son, look what I'm making!"

Archangel Michael looked puzzled and asked, "What are they?"

God replied, "It's a special person, but I'm putting respect for Life into them.… Continue

On the lighter Side for Katrina's 2nd Anniversary

Mississippi Hurricane Season Notes:

We are now in the hurricane season. In the coming months, you're going to turn on the TV and see a weather person pointing to some radar blob out in the Gulf

of Mexico and making two basic meteorological points:

1) There is no need to panic.

2) We could all be killed.

Yes, hurricane season is an exciting time to be in Mississippi. If you're new

to the area, you're probably wondering what…

To all of new friends and to everyone else that is not yet a friend (but soon will be). I will be gone for the next week and a half. Strating tomorrow, I will be working 16 hours so that I can have Thursday off so my family and I can start heading to Florida. We are going to be partying for a week with Mickey Mouse. All the e-mail and comments that are sent while I am gone, will be read and comments sent back when I return. Have a great week and everyone stay safe.

@!$@#%@% FIRE ANTS!!!!

Being the wise soul that I am, I decided to wait until dusk to venture out into the yard and do some body weight exercises. Things were going great, I was sweating, all was right with the world. And then.......

A freakin' fire ant bit the ever lovin' crap out of my neck. I have a big welt ( I think its the size of Nebraska) AND its too far down for me to cover with my hair AND too far up to be covered by the collar of my uniform shirt. In short, I'm going to look like a got a…

A LETTER FOR EMS, FIRE AND POLICE PERSONNEL

you say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news on September 11, 2001.

Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say "Good-Bye." I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say, "Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK...I am ready to go."

I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children. I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she…

MVA Rash

It seems in the last week that serious accidents have expoentially increased in Tioga County. People are dying or at least suffering serious injuries that require air transportation to a trauma facility. Good to keep our skills up, but bad for the population as a whole.
