Job service is where the applications are processed threw. EMT certification is required, Three years vollunteer service somewhere else or one year full time somewhere else, or a fire sience degree. One of these three. Job service is 80% of the battle it is hard to get your resume out of that place and on the chiefs desk. I called that guy at job service and bugged him until he new my name by heart because he was sending resumes to the fire dept that had less quallifications than I did. But it finally got through.
