Just an update on the fireants...

I just read that if you put corn meal next to fire ant piles, the ants carry the meal into the mound. When they eat it, they can't digest it and therefore the ants DIE!!!!!!!!!

I'm off to the store to do some ant slayin'!!!

News from Evansville

I have finally heard from Evansville today and I placed 95th. Not bad considering there were about 400 other people there.

But they're only taking 32 people...

Yup, I didnt make the cut again. I was really hoping that I would improve over last time where I placed 81st. Oh well though, I still got Indy.

The Two Year Mark

Well here we sit, exactly 2 years after KATRINA and life stumbles on in Hancock County. The suicide rate is 14% higher than it’s ever been, Doctor’s are handing out free 3

Boston 2nd Alarm in Brighton

No rest for the weary. 2 Alarms Box 5352 1868 Commonwealth Avenue in the Brighton section. Fire was confined to the basement apartment of a 5 story brownstone. No injuries.

E102 Responds to the Structure Fire

On Thursday the 30th of August 2007, Units from Arlington County responded to a reported structue fire. Upon arrival, Engine 106 repoted heavy smoke and fire showing from the Charlie side of the structure. A sad day in Beantown

Boston firefighters Paul Cahill, 55 of Engine Co. 30 and Warren J. Payne, 53 of Ladder Co. 25 were killed in the line of duty last night while operating at the scene of a 4 alarm fire in the West Roxbury section of the city. 13 other firefighters were injured, 2 were initially listed in critical condition however they have been upgraded to serious condition. Both men were 25 year veterans of the Boston Fire Department.
