show me a person who spends endless hours in training without pay.
and,i'll show you a volunteer.
show me a person where a cry for help brings split-second dispatch,

They arrive at the scene a gory sight,
Donning gear they muster all their might.
Responding with quickness responding with care,
Airplane into a building.....a responders nightmare.
Starting a rescue quick into action they all do…

I'm not the only one out there. Anyway, here is my short list of what not to do/say when on duty at the old fire station.
1) Never say: Quiet, sleep, bed, or bathroom (this always results in a call at a bad time)
2) Never tell the off going shift 'Oh, we didn't run ANY calls, so you can…

Whatever be its age.
Help me embrace a little child
Before it is too…

Into the bowels of Hell, these brave ones go
To save the lives of those they do not know
Guided by training & Camaraderie while overcoming fear
They dare to go with only Guardian Angels near
Through the smoke and heat…
