Hey im a junior firefighter at the moment. Just putting out my thanks out to the Camrose fire department Volunteers they do an awsome job!!!

Hi, We currently use Motorola Minitor IV pagers. Our local Motorla dealer only wants to send them out to the depot for repair. In Motorla usaul fashion now do not support them. A local radio repair shop started repairing them. We have trouble with that too. I know Minitor V is out there, but is anyone using something else. And has anyone used those flat rate mail off repairs. Service is of major concearn. We are in an area of limited local service. And as always funds are of a major concearn also. Thanks

Something how over 70% of America's firefighter's are volunteers! With the same equipment, same training. And the same desire to serve, save and survive; to do it over and over. Whatever it takes to get it done!

Yes, I was proud to be a volunteer firefighter for 20+ years. I really enjoyed doing it, and serving with all the other members. I miss getting paged out at any and all hours of the day. The rush to get to the station and hopefully make the first truck. Re-inacting a train/truck accident call for the TV Series, Rescue 911. Now its on YouTube! I'm back involved with the City now, as a CERT team member. Just can't stay away!

My name is Rodolfo and I feel very grateful for accept my participation in The Volunteers Group.
I am a Volunteer in the Peru Fire Department (Cuerpo General de Bomberos Voluntarios del Perú), with 46 years of service as volunteer firefighter, and now, I am the General in charge of the Image and Public Relations Office with national responsibility.
The National Fire Service in my country is entirely voluntary, and we are around of 10,000 members, between men and women in 188 fire stations in the main cities of the country.

My hometown -- Brookville, PA, population 4,500 -- is planning a 3-day celebration to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its volunteer fire department. It will be held September 17-18-19 of 2009. We're trying to get as many congratulatory cards and letters for the department as we can. Being a Volunteer is very fulfilling and most people will never know the joy of doing something good for not people. Most of the people in the US don't know that the Volunteer services is by far larger then paid Fire services. We do what paid Fire Fighters do for the pure joy of fighting fire. Some many communities don't have the money to pay for fire service and that's where we come in. The joy of being a volunteer and the happy joy of fighting fire.

I love being a Volunteer Firefighter too, I have learned so much. I really wish I would have started along time ago. I reallly love helping others, and serving my community. I have mety alot of great friends!!
