Suppose this is the right forum to get some advice and direction. Had knee surgery almost 2 months ago and the wonderful job done by the doc fixed the torn meniscus & cartilage. Now I have to get my stamina and leg strength back to be able to go back to the fire station. I need help with a workout routine designed for someone (like me) who's done getting the surgery but now wants to get back to work. Anyone out there? Sure appreciate any assistance I can get here. Thanks in advance. Mike from Santa Barbara
Note: I don't surf personally, would love to but I'm not almost 55. But still, who doesn't enjoy watching someone catch a big wave. And you know it's all about Firefighter Fitness... : )

power 90 is AWESOME i combine that with a multivitamin, protien and a weightloss supplement and i've lost a bunch of weight and now have a freakin 6 pack working out twice a day. power 90 fat burner in the morning and then my own weight training in the afternoon. I cut my calories to 1500 which wasn't as hard as i thought it would be. and drink TONS of water. message me if youre interested in my plan!

I have been working out for 2 weeks, now. I have some advice for you:
Watch your calories, fat, carbs and sugar intake. Get about 45 minutes of Cardio exercises a day. I started this 2 years, ago(weighing@324) and now I am 170. I started back and am losing weight and toning up.
So, you can try this it works. Exercise like walking 3 to 4 miles a day(speed walking with hills). I know it's been very hot, but keep it up it will pay off. Being fit will make you feel better. Be safe!

new here...recently certified but yet to be hired, and nearing 40, I REALLY need to become not only fit, but the most fit I've been in my life. Looking forward to all the tips, advice and info everyone has to offer...thanks for being such a valuable resource. Oh, and if anyone wants to make me their pet project, you'll get full credit for getting rid of this gut. =)

hi all! I am looking to get more fit than I have been for the past several yrs. Had knee replacement and I now work out without hurting, what a nice feeling, NO PAIN. Currently working out nearly daily on elip trainer 40 50 minutes a wack at lvls 8-10 depending the machine. Legs turn to rubber when I am done but the knee feels great and the legs are starting to come back to normal.

Joey
I purchased P90X in May. I was hard at it for about 1 month but scheduling has made it tough to stay with it. It is a great program. It takes dedication though. Plan on starting again soon.
Good luck.

We all must start some where and sometime so why not now and here. Let's go and get started.

I am ready, I think.
