Around 0900 on the morning of 7/22/07, Branchville and Frankford Fire Dept's were assigned to a plane crash on Phillips Road in Frankford. I was just getting home from breakfast with my boyfriend when this call went out. I quickly jumped back into my truck and responede to the fire house. I was in the 3rd truck in. My truck was told to stand by down the road about 200 yards from the accident. As we stood by, we herd my assistant Chief 671 (M. Seo) call our dispatch for the number for the AAA or whatever the plane crash agency is. We also had to call Hazmat in because of the fuel and oils leaking into the back yard of someone's house. When we herd this, we knew this would be another all day call, like the day before with the structure fire. My truck stood by for about an hour before being released to go back to the station and await any other calls. We were at the fire house for about 4 to 5 hours with no other calls. Finally my assistant chief 671 (M.Seo) called us to relieve the other firefighters on scene. We arrieved with no other apparatus, just us in our personal vehicles. (There was more than enough equipment, there was so much we didn't know what to do with it all). When we arrived we were told to put our full PPEE on and take control of the charged 1 3/4 attack line. We only had the line charged as a precaution while the plane was being disassembled. As far as we all knew, (because of how many plane crashes we get and how much we really know about planes), any one little spark could set the plane on fire. Well that may not be true, but we didn't know, so we took all precautions we thought were needed to keep everyone safe. The plane was finally disassembled. It was time to go home... FINALLY!!! We were all really tired of seeing eachother, and just tired in general. This was the end of an extremely busy weeken...
