On Nov. 1 ,2007 we were dispatched to a woman having a a headache the woman has a this headache for about 4 hours and wanted to be seen at the hospital it is about 1:30am so we loaded her in the unit and started to the hospital it was i little foggy about a mile down the road my partner yells out hang on then a big crash I was thorn into the safety net on the bench set then I cheeked the women on the stetcher and she is find then I check out my partner to see if he is ok and ask him what he just hit he said he was fine and we Just hit a horse that was standing in the middle of the road I got on the radio and told dispatch that we had a 10-50 and requested 2 units for transport. The first words out of the woman was " Was He driving to fast" not if we were ok . I out the back and went the driver door to check out my partner the driver's door is pushed in and worked on triyng to open and got it open my partner had cut up his petty good but the bleeding was controlled I recieved and injury to my right shoulder from were i hit the safety net the woman recieved no injuries at the hospital the was treated for her headache in 30 min and we both were treated of our injuries in about 3 hours the horse was killed on impacted the unit was damage on the front driver side and now in the body shop.

O Holy balls that sucks, and makes me want to go hug my horse. I was driving in my pesonal car one day and a horse just ran outta the woods on one side of the road and into the woods on the otherside..I sat there for a minute saying "was that a freakin horse?" id been running duty all night and thought I was going crazy....but yes it was a horse...

Nothing worse than an accident in any apparatus!

Glad to hear that all came through ok (except the horse, I guess).
