Beverly Hills Chihuahua: What the Heck!

I was reading this morning's daily dumbass from KCMQ.com. It got me thinking. They give the daily dumbass to everyone who has paid to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. I would totally agree. I am in favor of entertainment value. But, a movie featuring a bunch of dogs. Here is KCMQ's take on it.

I’d like to give today’s dumbass award to several million people at once - all the people who actually paid money to go to… Continue

Daily Dumbass October 13, 2008

Today's Daily Dumbass taken from KCMQ.com. See original posting here.

For a true dumbass, the police station can’t be marked well enough. Dennis Cullen of Hellertown, Pennsylvania, was driving home drunk from a party with a woman he had picked up. Apparently they couldn’t wait to do the nasty, so they pulled over to have sex in the car. Where did they pull over? The police station parking lot of course. Cops caught them with their pants down -… Continue

Today's daily dumbass is certainly a new low. Taken from KCMQ.com.

You can get arrested for driving just about anything drunk, and today’s dumbass has hit a new low. A guy named Leslie Marr in Whitehall, New York was fined nearly $400 for driving a motorized cooler while he was drunk. He was arrested after police saw his riding his “Cruzin Cooler” while swerving on a sidewalk. Cops even confiscated Leslie’s cooler until his fines are paid.

Hurricane Season Predictions VS Reality

In May I had posted the predictions for this Hurricane Season. They had predicted:

"The 2008 Atlantic hurricane season officially starts on 1 June and may peak between late August and mid-October. According to specialists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, it will be an active period with 12 to 16 named storms of which 6 to 9 are expected to become actual hurricanes. The nation’s premier climate agency also predicted that 2 to 5 hurricanes will be major ones of… Continue

Today's Daily Dumbass from KCMQ.com. Original can be viewed here.

There comes a time when you have to stop doing something because you’re just too old or maybe your eyesight isn’t good enough any more. An Austrian hunter tried to shoot down a parked car, mistaking it for a wild boar while hunting. The 67-year-old man said he had briefly dozed off in his watchtower, and when he woke up, he thought the vehicle was wild game and shot at it.… Continue

Today's Daily Dumbass from KCMQ.com. Original can be viewed here.

Gun training should be a prerequisite for armed robbers - especially dumb ones. 25-year-old Derrick Kosch went into a convenience store in Kokomo, Indiana with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money and cigarettes. The store clerk put the money in a bag, and had turned around to get him the smokes when Derrick decided to tuck his gun back into the waistband of his pants. The gun went off and he ended up shooting… Continue

Yet another stupid robber. Taken from KCMQ.com.

From the “nice try” department, we get today’s dumbass. A robber broke into a house in Australia and was caught by the homeowners. When police arrived at the scene, the 42-year-old robber insisted she hadn’t broken in on purpose - she was just sleepwalking and didn’t know what she was doing. The police didn’t buy it and arrested her anyway.

Daily Dumbass October 3, 2008

Here is today's daily dumbass. From KCMQ's website.

Today’s dumbass is a female would-be bank robber who doesn’t have the stones to follow through. She went into a bank in Long Island, New York, and gave the teller a note saying she would open fire if the teller didn’t hand over her cash. The teller looked at the robber and said “Are you serious?” Apparently this was enough to spook the robber, who left without a dime and never showed a gun. OK… Continue

Here is today's daily dumbass from KCMQ.com (a local radio station). Original can be viewed here.

Some people just can’t handle their booze. A woman in Middletown, Ohio was arrested after chasing children, urinating on a neighbor’s porch, and blocking traffic….all while wearing a cow costume. The arresting officer says the woman reeked of alcohol, slurred her speech, and was belligerent. She was booked, released, and told to go home and stay… Continue

Daily Dumbass

Here is today's daily dumbass. These are from our local radio station KCMQ. Full text can be viewed here.

Lincoln, Nebraska, police actually ended up arresting someone who had called them for help. A 25-year-old man was ’squatting’ in an empty apartment and had illegally changed the locks. He called police to report that someone was trying to break in - turns out it was the apartment manager trying to use his key. The squatter was arrested for… Continue

Daily Dumbass: Watch Who You Hug!

An Iowa City man was arrested after trying to hug a police officer. 21-year-old Luke Schreder thought the cop was “in need of a hug,” and ran up to him with his arms outstretched. Schreder ignored the officer’s request that he “get away,” and was told to put his hands behind his head. He refused, so he was put under arrest for assault on an officer and public intoxication. Lesson learned: no matter how drunk you get, that police officer still doesn’t “need a hug.”

Daily Dumbass September 11, 2008

Another Daily Dumbass from our local radio station. I thought everyone would get a kick out of this.

"A man with 5 previous DWI arrests was stopped for weaving in and out of traffic on Interstate 40 Saturday. The 31-year-old had an immediate excuse for the cop - he was weaving because his passenger had spilled his beer. At first the officer thought the driver was joking, but then realized he was serious. Not surprisingly, he was arrested -… Continue

Today’s dumbass award goes to 409 people at once!

People can just be plain stupid. Computer specialist Didier Stevens put up a simple text ad on the internet offering downloads of a computer virus for people who did not have any. Surprisingly, he found as many as 409 people clicking on the ad saying “Is your PC virus-free? Get it infected here!” during a 6-month campaign on Google. There was no actual virus involved - just proving a point.

This was taken from KCMQ (a local radio… Continue

Hurricane Season Predictions

Before Hurricane Katrina many of us watched the hurricane season. Many didn't think it would affect them. Katrina proved that a hurricane can affect all parts of the country. During Katrina I was a member of the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services Center for Emergency Response & Terrorism. We ended up activated because of displaced persons coming into the state. Below I have reprinted the current hurricane season predication from DHS's Emergency Management and Response… Continue

Ever wonder why people do certain things? Well today’s dumbass will leave you with a huge question mark…

Paul Hardy of West Virginia was indicted on one count of armed robbery, two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of firearm endangerment and three counts of property destruction. Wow. What exactly did Paul do? For reasons only known to himself, he broke into an older couple’s home, held them at gunpoint and made them play the piano. He also asked the couple whether they wanted to order pizza. Moments later, while “playing with the gun,” the robber shot himself once in the left leg, which… Continue

Bartering with drugs isn’t always the best idea…

Funny Joke from our local radio station's "Daily Dumbass"

In New Zealand, a guy went to a gas station to buy some M&Ms. But when he got to the counter he found out he didn’t have enough cash. That’s when he had the bright idea to offer payment with…marijuana. Too bad a nearby police officer overheard his proposal - and quickly arrested him.

I have to put that where?

For any of us that serve on volunteer or rapid deployment units storage of gear can be a real issue. You need to have all of your gear available but you can't look like Paris Hilton with a separate butler to carry all our bags. I'm always on the look out for any tips or pointers that can assist with packing equipment. I recently saw an article on packing for a trip. But, though that it also could apply to gear. I have reprinted the article below. Pleas post any ideas you have or tips you have… Continue

First Aid Class Question

I have to post a question that was asked recently in a first aid class. First, I have to say that I know the instructor that was teaching the class. I am an instructor Trainer for the Red Cross in our area and speak with instructors on a regular basis.

Ok, that being said here is the question she received. "If you have an unconscious person having a diabetic emergency, won't it help them to stick a Snickers bar up their butt?" Ofcourse, my first reaction was this student wasn't… Continue
