If you don’t know how to sell something online, it’s probably not a good idea to learn by selling your boat. A German man accidentally sold his small yacht for $30 in an online auction because he didn’t know to set a minimum bid. He hoped to sell the boat for at least $16,000, but the thirty dollar bid was the only offer. Then the seller tried to cite “technical problems” and tried to take the boat off sale and not honor the buyer’s bid. It went to court and the judge ruled the seller had to go through with the sale.

Dave Ramsey, financial radio talk show host, would call this "stupid tax". That is a large amount of stupid tax.
