Well folks everything South of I-40 here in Okla. and all the way down into Texas we lost our Wheat Crops...Just make you plum sick to plow under a crop that look so good but not a thing in the head, between the hail and a late freeze it done us in...Bad, Bad Deal...

I don't know if I'm lucky for living around Talladega come race weekend, it's more of a curse haha. It turns the sleepy, often crappy city of Talladega into Hell on Earth for about a week..

Great food and parties at the track though:D

Hey y'all, how's it going?

I'm mighty happy to see some other farmer firefighters out there, seems like it's getting harder and harder to make ends meet with farming but it's a way of life that gets in your blood, hopefully everyone out there is faring well this year.

Anyhow, figured I'd best introduce myself, I'm Matt. My family farms around 450 acres around Talladega, Alabama. We run about 300 head of beef cattle (mostly black angus, there are a few charlet, santa gertrudis and brahma mixes in there though). Everybody take care and stay safe out there. -Matt
