Good morning! How are we faithing? I know, it's hard sometimes, this faith we hold on to. We open our mouths in anger and speak horrible things. Sometimes they are little comments and sometimes loud outbursts. We hold grudges. We join in on abusive speech. We laugh at deplorable things. We give into urges we should rebuke. We point fingers when we should be helping others up. You get the idea here. This faith, religion or whatever title attached is a faith of love. This faith is not a compromise or as simplistic as the Beatle tune "all you need is love". This faith is hard sometimes because we are flesh and blood and sometimes it hurts. This faith gets trounced on and belittled by people we admire and respect. We get emotionally distraught when we are ridiculed but we must remember that our savior told us these things would happen. Jesus endured way more than we ever will and yet he held on. We can tap into that strength and love every day. Read the Word. Ask questions. Query all sources. Be quick in prayer. Seek the Holy Spirit to guide you.

James 1:19-27
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it-he will be blessed in what he does.
If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
NIV

And;

James 3:13-16
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
NIV

Think about these things and make adjustments accordingly. Don't be to harsh on yourself but honest and humbly pray to our Lord for forgiveness and wisdom to overcome!

Heavenly Father,
Lord, we ask for wisdom that keeps us straight on the path of righteousness. Lord we desire your love and we want to do what is right but we are weak at times. Lord forgive us when we fail and help us be quick to recognise and repent. Lord grant us the energy to do your will even when we are wiped out. We desire your guidance in all we do. Help us be the people you see. In Jesus name, Amen

Good day to all. It's a beautiful, blessed day here in the mountains of Wild, Wonderful West Virginia. I just joined the group and am happy to be here. I am a Retired Lt. From the Braintree Massachusetts Fire Department Local 920. Before my time on the BFD I served 9 years in the Greatest Navy on the Planet as a Cryptologic Technician. I loved my service to my Country and my Home town and now loving Retirement in my wife's (of 44 years) hometown in the Coal Fields of southern WV. God and Jesus have been in my life since 1977 when I was saved and a couple times over my life God has truly saved my life. This past Jan. 22nd I was in a real bad accident in which I fractured the C2 verterbra in my neck. You arn't suppose to surive something like that never mind walk away. God is Good, ALL the time. God Bless you all. Stay Safe and rely on Him.

Russ, that God for your words from the Lord. Get that? from God. Your faithfulness to serve and be a channel here is so very important Ladd. God uses you each new day to touch so many lives with His message. Your right, we need to continue to encourage our hearts with the truth and therefore each other. Praise God he sees us through the blood of Jesus and as the word says. He sits at the right hand of God and is ever making intersession for us before the Father. It God says we are His workmanship we ARE! Hallelujah! I am beautifully and wonderfully made in His image. He must have had a sense of humor. :) God less you all and keep looking to him the author and finisher of our faith.
