If tomorrow never comes

Posted on July 25, 2009 at 3:00pm 12 Comments

If tomorrow never comes would I have missed it?

Would I have taken the time to experience life and its simple pleasures?

Could I step away and never notice the small things it has to offer?

You must take time to see those things so much more important.

The patterns of Spider webs covered with dew, the struggle of an Ant moving a piece of material three times its size. The rustle of autumn leaves of many colors in Fall. Tiny new-borne fawns frolicking in the tall grass… Continue

the open road calls

The open road is calling to warm and sunny places yet to be discovered, seen and enjoyed. Come along and ride with me to adventure and fun. It is discovered when seriousness and work are left behind to those who never stop working long enough to even realize that they are now old and tired. Don’t waste another gorgeous day or weekend at the office doing stupid things that could be done next week or another day by someone else locked into… Continue

Thoughts!

Posted on May 23, 2009 at 3:21am 5 Comments

while walking down a stony path one day I spotted a tiny pebble in the midst of the stones and knelt to pick it up. I quickly glanced at it and put it in my pocket moving on down the path.

A few weeks later I was sitting on a bench in the yard just relaxing and I reached into my coat pocket and found the small stone I had picked up that day. Turning it over and really looking at it I saw that It was so beautiful to my eyes. Smooth and translucent with colors of Opal and fire running… Continue

I didn't get the best reception from the local volunteer fire dept. so I elected not to join. My interests have made it tough at times being a woman in a man's world. I was invited to join a volunteer dept. a bit of a drive from my residence, but that is not practical.

The main focus of myself and family at the present is my youngest child's health. Diagnosed with Intracranial Hypertension, we have been faced with quite a challenge.

Everything happens for a reason, though we may not always understand why. We just have to stay positive and make the best of what life has to offer.

Hope you are enjoying Alaska.
