Good morning! How are we faithing? I have been listening and learning as of late and there's so much more to learn. People I know are searching and hurting. People I love are doing the same. My friends seek God and have a problem when things happen. They think God is either not real or doesn't care when bad junk happens. This is not true and it indeed is a hard pill to swallow when what we think is best doesn't happen. By no means am I diminishing pain and suffering but a reality check here. God loves us all so much he gave up his son for us. As a Dad I can't even fathom that concept. I would trade places with my kids if I could if they were facing death or hurt but I know that they have to face things and grow just like I did. My kids have faced some things in their lives that just tore me up. They didn't know how much praying and anguish that went on in my heart but I saw growth and I saw Gods hand at work in them. It's hard to speak truth and let them go through that door when everything in me want's to hold and protect them. Our savior does that for us and we need to hang onto that in the midst of things we face. Our entire outlook can be holy and steadfast in what the Word promises or we can blow it all off when we don't see things go the way we think it should. I was born with a cleft palate, I can only imagine what my parents went through every time I had an operation so when I face things or you face things we need to recognise that Jesus already paid and we have been, our kids will be, their kids will also face life and all that word means with assurance of salvation, love when we but put our faith with him. Have you considered looking at your situation from that view? Think about that...

2 Cor 10:3-9
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.
You are looking only on the surface of things. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as he. For even if I boast somewhat freely about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than pulling you down, I will not be ashamed of it.

Bro's and Sis's, please remember one of ours. Jam Miller is going through some tough times and really needs to see the Lord revealed in her heart and circumstances. The Fibro stuff is really getting her down. God is the Lord of ALL our circumstances. His word and faithfulness never changes. Hallelujah for that fact! Russ really hit my heart with your words below. Rom 8:35-39 fits in there too. Everything live throws at us can alter our focus but God is the steadfast anchor we hold on to. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ Jesus. Please remember Jan in prayer.

Good morning! How are we faithing this Monday morning? Where do the weekends go? Another week to face without fear and loathing because we know our God walks with us. Everything that may suck this week will be overcome by us because our commander in this battle called life is superior to anyone or thing else! Think about that as you face your week.
I think we need to step back and think about where we stand in this journey and ask a few questions like; "do I compare my actions to others actions?", "does my thinking change due to circumstances or is my focus on God steadfast?" Two things that can get us caught up in a web of acting how we perceive we should or acting as God and his Word says. People have a tendency to point fingers and dictate behavior patterns based on preconceived notions of how they think we should. It really gets threatening when we profess our savior and stumble and even fall. The outside influences we all face can be overcome when we seek God and prepare for eventual trials. I know some things are just overwhelming but we need not fret and despair when things suck. When you stop and think, everything passes and yes even sometimes get worse but sometimes it gets better. I've learned that letting the circumstances effect the joy God gives with our faith in Jesus serves the wrong master.

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being with us even when we don't see you. Thank you for shinning in our hearts and help us focus and see that light in the midst of stuff that kicks our butts. Lord we thank you for all you do that keeps us from falling into the pits and help us remember that when we feel like we have fallen. Bless those who we mentioned today, heal them in such a fantastic way that they smile with your light knowing you are with them! in Jesus name, amen

PadrePete I didn't have any luck with the patch either. Firefighter.com has an awesome decal that would be perfect, but they don't have it in a patch. I will keep looking.

Yo Brothers, I've been searching in vain for a simple patch with a cross and the words Fire Chaplain" on it. I'd love to know if such a thing exists. I like the one at the top of this page, but it is a little more elaborate then what I had in mind, Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
