I'm Irish-American.  More American than Irish I guess, never have been "foot wet" in Ireland but I have Irish heritage. My name is Irish, to my understanding, my name is the 14th most popular surname in Ireland, mostly from Galway.

My town itself historically, was where the Union Irish Brigade, known as the "Fighting 69th"  combined with units of the63rd , 88th NYVI ,  116th PA, 28th  & 29th Massachusetts Infantry came and fought their way up Marye's Heights while facing the Irish 24th Georgia Volunteer Infantry of the Confederacy at Sunken Road.

My Dept. is considering placing a new Station in the immediate vicinity of where the Irish Brigade did some fighting in the Civil War.  " Faugh a Ballagh"

In February I posted that we had created a National Clearinghouse for Fire Fighting Equipment at www.FireFighterFund.org We have moved the site to www.FreeFireGear.org The FireFighterFund will still be in operation to help firefighters and their families deal with legal issues. But if you have a need for equipment or have extra gear, please visit www.FreeFireGear.org. We are pleased to also announce affiliation with the International Fire Relief Mission. You can visit there site at www.ifrm2007.com

NEW

FREE National Clearinghouse for Firefighting Equipment

Chiefs or equipment officers who need gear, apparatus, or
anything else used in firehouse operations can visit the site,
post what they are looking for so that chiefs or equipment
officers can find you and pass on their out of service but still
serviceable gear.

Chiefs and equipment officers who have taken things out of
service and would like to have the gear used by other firefighters
can visit the site, post what it is they have and be easily found by
those who might put it to good use.

The site is FREE to use by both sides. The arrangements made
for transfer are between the transferring companies. We suspect
that there are times when gear will be transferred without any
money changing hands. And sometimes there will be sales.

We want two things. We want firefighters to have what they need.
We want those who use the site to look at how we are funding this
effort and to take the time to look at the information about how the
Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc.’s Life Events Legal Plan can help
every firefighter and the firefighter’s family.

Royalties from memberships purchased via the FireFighterFund.org link
will pay for expenses of the site.

Here is my other celtic themed tat. On my ribs on the right side, the ribs hurt really, really bad.

Don't know why it split it, but my previous post should read "one of two with a celtic theme."

Just want to share the ink on the inside of my right forearm, one of two with a cel

tic theme.
