our juniors and trainees/probies wear yellow, our firefighters wear red, our officers wear black and of course chiefs in white
I'm transitioning/changing posts and one wears blue soupbowls and the other wears black soupbowls.
We wear black helmets.
When we had our Explorer program running we used orange helments with an Explorer arch on it. I our area White is Chief, Red is Officer, Blue is Medical, and Black is Fire Fighter. Though this is not a standard though out the county but it helps us identify a Explorer at a glance.
Mine is yellow and says

Jr. Firefighter on the side
we wear black
Were i'm from i'm the olny jr now but i use older gear from the 1990's and my gear is just like the sr firemen yellow gear and a yellow helment and i bought a explorer sticker to put on my helment

The post I am a part of up North uses blue helmets, but the post I am involved with in CA uses Black.

I am a cadet and mine is yellow like the rest of our dept.

our juniors wear yellow helmats with an orange front

If you are a junior, Explorer or rookie member in our county you wear a red helmet to make you standout from the rest.

All line officers Chief to Sgt wear white helmets. Firefighters depends on their helmet they wear could be black or yellow. EMS blue. If there is a orange helmet its someone wanting to find out what it is to be in the fire service and stays out of the way.

If I see a green helmet its someone from a CERT group.

Juniors in my area wear orange helmets.
