Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My dad is an Lt. so, I grew up around the fire service. I always saw the guys talking story around the dinner table. They always had a smile on their face. When I turned 15, I joined the Explorer post--I was forced at the time. Then on my second or third ride out I got hooked. I realized why my dad and all of his buddies wanted to be firefighters, its the greatest job in the world.
