About Me:
My name is Viktoriya Zamudio. I am 19 years old, and have been interested in the fire service since I was 9 years old. 9/11 is what inspired me to want to have a career in the fire service. I have always been different than most females, in the sense that I like being active, and hanging with the guys. I always enjoyed a good challenge and especially when people say I can't do something for whatever reason I do my best to prove them wrong. I am a team player, and I love working along side people who feel strongly about the career they work in. I also have a passion for helping others, and I don't expect anything in return. I just enjoy doing it, its just who I am. I recently joined the California Army National Guard but sadly it didn't work out; I was medically discharged. However, the things I've learned while I was in the Army I think will help me out the most when I become a firefighter one day. The Army values which are: "Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage" can all be applied to a job in the fire service. I will always live by those values both on duty and off duty. I have my EMT-B cert, I went to EMT school right out of high school. I actually enjoyed EMT school so I hope to also go back for my paramedic education. I also really like wildland firefighting, and wouldn't mind working for the USFS, or even Cal Fire. :) So I came to this site to meet some friends, get some insight, and learn some new things.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Because its something I've always wanted to do. I never found my love for EMS though until recently when I took an EMT-B course as a requirement to the fire academy.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Helping others, being part of a family, and the adrenaline rush.
