Plagiarism Some Thoughts...

Ok thought about this for awhile before posting this and also asked some opinions so I could say the right thing, or at least do this intelligently.

Ok so here goes….BTW THIS IS AN ORIGNAL POST, THE AUTHOR IS ME.

Ok I get what all the anti-plagiarism commenters are saying and I do understand it fully, believe me. If I had works out there that people were posting everywhere then I would want them to mention I had something to do with that too. I get it people. But when you get… Continue

My Soldier What Can I Say...

My soldier, oh what can I say. I finally get to see him and it’s the most wonderful thing ever, words can’t even begin to describe how I feel. On the other hand, he is beyond ecstatic; he is in more of a blissful stage right now. Ask any soldier how they feel when they finally see their love after being apart for so long, nothing can describe it.

I love cooking him meals (anything’s better than MRE’s right guys?), cleaning his barracks room and yes, even his ever piling laundry because the… Continue

What NOT To Ask A Military Girlfriend/Fiance/Wife

People with stupid questions about the military. listen up!

What not to say or ask a military wife/girlfriend/ fiance while they have a loved one that is deployed or has been deployed.

1. "Aren't you afraid that he'll be killed?"

Of course we are terrified. The thought always lingers at the backs of our minds-- but thanks, you just brought it back to the front. Maybe next you can go ask someone with cancer if they're scared of dying..

2. "I don't know how you… Continue

Italian Firefighters

Recently, in the small town of Garfield, NJ, a fire started inside the local sausage factory. In a blink the building was engulfed in flames. The alarm went out to all the fire departments for miles around.

When the first volunteer fire fighters appeared on the scene, the sausage company president rushed to the fire chief and said, 'All of our secret sausage recipes are in the vault in the center of the plant. They have to be saved, so I will donate $50,000 to the fire company that… Continue

Rules For The ER Room haha

1) If it requires the ambulance team AND entire truck of firefighters to transport you and safely place you on a hospital stretcher.....it is time to go on a diet.

2) When you present to the Triage nurse, do NOT tell him/her that your doctor called ahead. If you survey our waiting area, probably 50% of the people waiting said the same thing.....and the other 50% use the ER as their regular doctor.

3) When asked how much you weigh, please…

Marine By God...

MARINE BY GOD

author unknown

The USMC is over 231 years of romping, stomping, hell, death and destruction. The finest fighting machine the world has ever seen. We were born in a bomb crater, our mother was an M-16 and our father was the devil.

Each moment that I live is an additional threat upon your life. I am a rough looking, roving soldier of the sea. I am cocky,…

You don't know but I'm the girl with a million things to say but not one will come out without the thought of him. I'm the girl who checks her cell phone every five seconds just to make sure I haven't missed his call.… Continue

He Is My Soldier...

I wrote this for my husband, who is currently serving overseas. I know this will touch those of you in the same situation.

He Is My Soldier...

What can I say about loving a soldier? I love him for what he is, what he does and his selfless bravery when abroad. I love him because he gives of himself without anything in return because it is in his soul. I love him because he is a warrior…

I had received this "Military Girls" as a bulletin here on MySpace. I had once read it somewhere but can't recall where and for some reason I wasn't able to save it... or I did but don't know what happened to it.

So, yeah I can admit I can directly relate to the verses... I know first hand tryin to swallow that sick feelin' in the stomach and heart feelin' shattered and empty wonderin' how he…

Final Inspection

The Marine stood and faced God,

Which must always come to pass.

He hoped his shoes were shining,

Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, you soldier,

How shall I deal with you?

Have you always turned the other cheek?

To my Church have you been true?"

The Marine squared his shoulders and said,

"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.

Because those of us who carry guns,

Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,

And at… Continue

I Am A Military Girlfriend

I FOUND THIS ON SOMEONE'S PAGE AND LIKED IT.. PRETTY MUCH SAYS IT ALL.....BECAUSE.. WELL YOU SEE.. I AM A MILITARY GIRLFRIEND.

I am a military girlfriend. I hold no formal recognition with the powers that be. I am at the bottom of the chain. I hold no Military ID card, I am not a "dependent" or a parent. The man I love may face unspeakable dangers, and I am at the mercy of those who…

The Infamous "You Know You're A Firefighter If..."

1. You can tell what type of fire it is by the smell of smoke 10 miles away.

2. You lay out your clothes from that day so if there is a call at night you can find them quickly.

3. You have ever been airborne without an aircraft and water was your thrust.

4. You carry a ton of specially modified tools in your pocket that…

9-11 Calls (How Many Have YOU Had Like This?)

I grabbed this list of odd 911 calls from Fire Engineering based on my county finally going to an enhanced 911 system. This will help solve the problems that I have previously addressed. You think we get no respect? What about these men and woman that are locked up in some out of the way place that we expect to peak efficiency from even when we are less than helpful. Here are their funny stories:…
