I wrote this for my husband, who is currently serving overseas. I know this will touch those of you in the same situation.

He Is My Soldier...

What can I say about loving a soldier? I love him for what he is, what he does and his selfless bravery when abroad. I love him because he gives of himself without anything in return because it is in his soul. I love him because he is a warrior machine that can go non-stop if needed, yet have the softest touch when he is with me. I love him because he can take out the enemy in a blink of an eye yet hold a little girl when she cries because she is scared. I love him because he is strong but passive when I hold him when he needs it. I love him because he makes me whole, finishes me out and makes me feel like the luckiest woman in the world. I love him because he carries me with him everywhere in his soul and back pocket, and shows it when I talk to him while he's over there. I love him because he is who he is, a soldier.

I love you baby, forever and ever til the end of time and time itself.
