About Me:
My uncle owned a private ambulance serice. When I was 18 I started working for him. In '84 I went to medic school and when I graduated I started part-time as a FF/Medic at Ottawa Hills and Volunteer in Sylvania.
In '87 I became full-time at Whitehouse Fire and then in '88 moved back to Ottawa Hills full-time. In '91 an EMS levy failed causing me to moved to Perrysburg. In '97 I was promoted to assitant chief over seeing a shift and the EMS Bureau.
I also play the bagpipes with the Toledo Fire Pipe Band.
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Something I always wanted to do.

But if you ever have a fire at a pallet factory...you'll be set.
I sure felt like the time our squad went swimming. Once the boat got launched the ice picked up and good by boat. It always a mazes me how long the media is there, always asking questions taking pictures of everything and like you said, it is a 2 second clip. Oh well what ya gonna do...
Unfortunately i didn't make that run yesterday, i was working at Promedica. I did see it on the news, and they showed about a 2 sec clip of your boat in the water. At least it wasn't the heavy squad this time! (Sorry, i couldn't resist!)
I think a combined drill would be great and very much needed. I keep saying we need to do more drilling on procedures instead of the usual pallet burns at the training center. God forbid anything huge happen nearby and we all need to work together, it may not be too pretty on our end.
