Another great year at the Northwestern Ohio Volunteer Firemen's Association Regional Fire School held at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green Ohio.
As has been in the past, the instructors were excellent.
I wish to "tip my hat" to all those who do what they do every year to make this schooling a success.
Again, it was stressed by the committee that this class is free!! All we need to do is show up and show our continued support for this program.
I remember years ago that the auditorium was standing room only. It is heart breaking to come to a school with such an outstanding curriculum and some students be denied education because a class was canceled at the last minute due to non-participation in a minimum student requirement class. Instructor(s) was/were available, not enough students. SAD!! Years ago that would have never happened. If anything students were turned away because they were full and would be placed in another class to fill it.
So get your calendar out for next year. It was announced that the 2012 Regional Fire School will be March 10th and 11th!! Go to the NOVFA website to see what all classes where available this year and then look just after New Years 2012 for the classes that will be offered then. That way you can be aware of the courses that are offered and can make plans! Hope to see you there in 2012!!

please give a moment and bow your head for are fallen fireman conrad mansfield. he was a good man and a good friend, he has given his life in the line of duty oj june 11th 2009. R.I.P. my brother u are in are hearts and in are prayers

Conrad Mansfield of Sherwood and Delaware twp Fire Department in Defiance County, ohio has passed away.
as soon as more information is avaiable I will pass it along.

Dear Freinds,
Fireman Wayne King of the North Baltamore Fire Department Pass away.
He die on Friday Jan 03 in his sleep surrounded by his family and freinds from his department.
Wayne King was a member of North Baltimore Fire Department for 50 years and his presence will be missed.
His Service was Wensday Jan 7, at 10am In North Baltimore.
