Mother of 4 - 2 of which are still at home. I have 2 grandchildren.

My family means the world to me and I try to spend as much time as my job permits with them....you all know that can be difficult sometimes.

I enjoy spending time with friends just hanging out...if we're not out on a call since most of my friends are also in this business.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I lived in an upstairs-downstairs apartment. The couple who lived above us had a new baby born on my birthday. She had a lot of complications with delivery but was very excited to introduce her new son to me...on Mother's Day. Unfortunately, the next day she accidentally rolled over onto her baby while he was laying in bed with her and he passed away. I felt helpless. I didn't have any training to help. I knew several people in fire/EMS and was very interested. I joined the local department within a month and have been involved in EMS since....just wish I would've done it sooner.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I find it so rewarding to help people and to meet so many wonderful new people and make new friends!!
