Internal Defibulators

Last week i went on a call patient haveing problems with his internal defibulator.We arived on scene and found the patient lieimg on the floor clenching his chest and screeming with much pain.Our first thoughts was that he was haveing a cardiac aresst.I got a quick sample history from him it was his defibulator shocking him every so often malfunctioning.Our next step after andministering oxygen is to place him on our gernie and to our surprise we all shares a shocking moment...we all got shocked...Then we discovered it was fireing every 2 minutes.Just thought i would share that.Has yhat ever happened to you?

Do any of you have a formal written policy regarding the use of cell phones, texting, etc. while driving fire apparatus? I know that in some jurisdictions there are laws which prohibit the use of cell phones, etc., but in the absence of laws, do you prohibit the use and how?

Common Sense. Wish it was alittle more common sometimes.
