Good morning everyone,
THis ought to be good and where do I begin, a bitch session, what do you as a new chief when the department attitude is we are volunteers and you can't tell us what we need to take for training.

I don't have much hair but I am ready to pull the little bit I have out, I forced all members to get the ICS 100-800 done or face a suspension well you would have swore I asked for a million dollars. Now I am TRYING to put in place some SOGs and that is being shunned aside, we just received a grant and I put in for training which meant a laptop and projector and their like why would you do that? I also received enough to replace our 20 year gear and I got grief for this why are we spending money on gear that no one uses (which is another issue).

Well thanks for the time and I hope I am not the only one out there with these issues.

Thanks for the invite. Just got back from FFI & II class. Talked about foam systems and application. Me and five others from my department are going to the Lake of the Ozarks to take part in a Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday for Special Olympics. Will post pics after we return.

anyone know of a place in southwest florida hiring emt-already certified as fl emt-will be going to school for ff-already a ff(lt) in KY but have to take the academy in FL to accept all my KY training-will work from charlotte co to collier co as emt for now and will be going to academy summer-thanks
