Ok we were paged out for a unresponsive male subject at his home. I was told to cover the station so I did. Well after the run the fax came in from dispatch and I started the paper work. As I read it I could not help but roll. It went something like this....

Call came in from **** address on ******* Rd. A male subject has called and said his buddy is on the couch and not responding. The caller advises that he knocked on the door and there was no answer so he went in. He seen his buddy on the laying on the couch and thought he was playing a joke by not talking to him. The caller advised he went to the kitchen and made a glass of ice water. When he returned to the living room he pulled his buddys pants down and dumped the ice water on his nu##s. He didn't move so he thought he had better call 911.

Now we all know a new way to check for alertness...All you need is ice water.
