Ralph, an Jay, I wouldnt know about Firehouse food. Never had that privileged. I have stayed in a few firehouses over the years but never eaten in one. Always heard stories of how good the food was. Someday I hope!

Ralph, the Engine is already here in Oregon in Eugene. KME had one of their people drive it out to Oregon. I am leaving tomorrow to go to Eugene and meeting with the KME Salesman to go over the Engine and may be coming home with it on Weds. I would love to meet up with you but not to be Bro.

Pictures taken out of context fail to tell any story. I saw that pic and assumed with the E-9 written in chalk that this was a 'Third World' FD. When looking at all the pics, those are some nice looking rigs. Glad you had such a great time. I hope you had a chance for dinner with the wife while you were there.

Holly Cow! thats really great. We had a day off back in Penn. I mentioned to the owner of KME that I would like to be able to see the Pocono Raceway which is about 20 miles away from the KME plant. He said "Let me make a phone call". a bit latter he came over and said its all arranged. So we were met there by this older guy who put us in a Pace Car and took us for a ride around the track a few times describing the route that the NASCAR drivers go. We averaged about 160 mph. We were stoked!!!! He took us on a tour of all the pits and building as well. Once in a lifetime experience.That night we went to a small volunteer department near Nesquehoning Penn and spent some time visiting with them in their "Firemens Lounge". Didnt realize those still existed. They finally let us leave at 1:30 in the am. What fun!!!!
Good times Ralph. Looks like I will bring our new engine home next Weds. I leave tomorrow to go to Eugene to do the final stuff to bring it home.

Home from Pennsylvania. Nice to be back home. Saw our new truck and did the final inspection. It arrived in Oregon today. We will bring it home a week next Thursday.

Have fun down in New Orleans.. and make sure you pronounce it right while you're down there or your bound to be skinned alive and left in the swamp. Gonna stop by Charleston while you're at it? We are way cooler than NO.

Yup! Wake up with a whole lot of bead necklaces around your neck and not remember how you got them. Sure your wife will understand when you say it was the ghosts. YEA SURE!!! Have fun bro. Glad you can get out and have some fun. We need that break from the "Rat Race" at times. Tip a few for me too.
