Hello, my name is Terry Rumpff, I am a Battalion Chief with the Howard County Volunteer Fire Dept. I have been a chief officer for 7 years. The HCVFD covers all of Howard County, TX. (except Big Spring,TX. which has a paid Dept.), which includes the citys of Forsan, and Coahoma our primary coverage area is about 925 sq.miles. We have 45 volunteers, 6 stations, 3 engines, 1 3000gal. pumper/ tanker, 1 quint, 1 5000gal. tanker, 6 brush trucks equipped with CAFS, and 1 bulldozer. And I can garuntee there aren't many hydrants out here.

you ever use a water eductor for gaining access to a water source such as a stream or swimming pool to get water?

hi im a ky fire fighter and in the part of ky i live in we dont have fire hydrants (well we got 2 dry hydrants) we got to pump from wells, the lake, or from someone's pond if we need more water. sometimes we fill up from the city water but they get mad at us because we have a 44,000 gallon tanker and being such a small town when we fill up nobody has water till we get done LOL.
