    Good morning! How are we faithing? We all learn every day.  This salvation promises the Holy Spirit as a guide throughout the day. If we learn to listen, we see things that God's finger is guiding. We see people succeed and fail. We see love and hate but the cool thing is we begin to see further into the people beyond the noise and  what the human eye sees. Ever have someone in your face cussing and carrying on? I'm sure you have.  Being able to recognize that there is something up besides anger is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Being able to not let their anger raise yours is really just a heart of faith in God. Sure there is justified anger and of course defense physically but more than once when someone was in my face for nothing I had done I asked if they were ok and it is amazing the response beyond the physical display in front of me. People, we are children of God and those in front of you may need encouragement for their day. You just don't know what has transpired and induced this behavior that is coming at you.  Genuine concern and compassion will always win the day.  Get in the Word every day and start conditioning yourself to be that hand that helps and not the one that perpetuates grief.

Psa 143:10
Teach me to do thy will; For thou art my God: Thy Spirit is good; Lead me in the land of uprightness.

2Ti 1:7
 For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your love shown in  your Word. Lord, we ask for wisdom to see the hearts of our adversaries and the courage to approach them with that vision. Let us be encouragers to them rather than confrontational. Let us help and not hinder our witness and our reflection of the cross. Lord we love and honor you in Jesus name, amen

 Great morning! How are we faithing?  Doing good things to earn favor in Gods eyes is an example of an exercise in futility.  We do good things because God loves us and we love him.  Do you do things for you spouse or kids so they like you? No, you do them because you love them and want to please them. It's the same with God. Remember , God sees the heart so if you do a good deed and then say to God,"see, I'm doing this for you", you have missed it. You do what is right and good because it is right and good and as a child of God, saved by grace, good things is what we do out of that love and grace. Stop trying to earn something that is free.

Pro 21:3
To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to Jehovah than sacrifice.

 Hos 6:6
 For I desire goodness, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.

Mat 9:12-13
  But when he heard it, he said, They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick.
  But go ye and learn what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

Heavenly Father,
   Thank you for the cross that you laid down your life for mine. Lord we thank you for showing your love to us and giving us peace when we didn't have any. Lord, in your name we rebuke satan and his hench men from harrasing us. We seek your face today. Let no evil come between us and you. Lord thank you for carrying us when we stumble and fall. In your name we pray, amen

  Good morning! How are we faithing this fine day? " We were nekid when we came into this world and we'll be nekid when we leave."   Why oh why do we get so wrapped up in acquiring stuff to the detriment of our very souls? Hey man, I like a fast car, a cool guitar and a warm house like the next guy but are we striving after the wind like Solomon said? Are we wasting our youth on acquiring junk to make our life easier so as we get older  we can get out of shape and give everything to a hospital or nursing home? Are we working so much we neglect our kids and the correct raising of them or are we reaching for the "American dream" to the detriment of the next generation? We all need to sit back and listen to that small still voice of God who is always present and always loves us. We need to search scripture for answers in everything we do. All the principles of life are indeed contained within. Don't think your situation has ever been dealt with? Get over yourself man, nothing is new under this sun in the sky. Think having to drive that 86 Cavalier clunker to work is a pain as you see that new Lexus fly by, is that any different than the old farmer in an ox cart watching a Chariot with 2 fast horses pass him? Think the same feeling was present? Of course it was. People remain the same, our stuff changes and the Word tells us all this stuff will be burned up in the end and the only thing that lasts is us, salvation accepted or not. When you catch yourself in "woe is me" or "why'd this happen to me?' you better step back and look at the real issue at hand and not just at your immediate displeasure....

2Pe 3:10-16
  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
  Seeing that these things are thus all to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy living and godliness,
  looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
  But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, give diligence that ye may be found in peace, without spot and blameless in his sight.
  And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote unto you;
 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; wherein are some things hard to be understood, which the ignorant and unstedfast wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

remember Anne C...

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your love for a lot like us. Lord we lay our burdens at your feet and ask for help with our selfish untrusting hearts. Help us see truth and see the folly of our striving after things that are going away anyways. Help us see the importance and the unimportance of stuff. Lord, we lift those who are sick toady. Your Word tells us that when we believe, know, your promises are true, we can ask and know it is done. Lord increase our faith. Help us see needs and help us see the heart you see. In Jesus name, amen

 Good morning! How are we faithing? We have to return to God in our thinking. We must not let the world system water down what the Word tells us. There are traditions of men that have distorted views on subjects and theologies to the point that we outright mock God with what we deem acceptable.  I'll not get into particulars in this forum but will advise ya'll to analyze your own self and see if what you stand on is biblical or man made. If you believe Chevy is better than Ford, that is not what we are referring to. Those are things that don't have an effect on your soul. The actions and attitudes that do effect us, are acceptable in your life, are you in line with scripture or rationalized outside it?  You do the searching of your beliefs and attitudes. Find out if "it feels good" has caused you to accept a lie or a sin as ok. Standing on truth opposed to the status quo is not only wise but prudent to our well being spiritually as well as physically. Some get all worked up over things that in fact don't amount to a hill of beans but walk right by deadly things.

Zec 1:3
Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Return unto me, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I will return unto you, saith Jehovah of hosts.

Eze 33:11
Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Jas 4:8
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye doubleminded.

Isa 29:13-14
  And the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw nigh unto me, and with their mouth and with their lips to honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which hath been taught them;
 therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

 Good morning! How are we faithing? Gee whiz a long week...I have discovered many things this week. Some about myself and some about the people in my life. It gets to all of us sometimes when we "feel" less effective than we think we ought to be. Yesterday we discussed what repentance is. When we do indeed repent the former tugs harder on the later. How we view things changes so many aspects of our lives when we realize we have repented because of that belief and not changing on our own just for changes sake. Repenting not to make others happy or for show but real repentance because we do indeed have a change of mind. In this walk with Jesus there are so many aspects and wonderful things to find out about our creator. The spirits and principalities of the air the Word speaks of is such a huge thing all by itself. There are first hand accounts in the Word of armies of angles riding all around. There are dark forces at play and with subtle things inserted here and there. we miss them and before we know it we're in something that we never would have dreamed of.  I've heard it in counseling sessions man,"I never saw it coming". We all can end up in that same place if we do not purposefully keep our focus where it ought to be. What is such an inspiring, comforting thing to remember is this;

2Pe 3:9
 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for the cross. Thank you for saving someone like me. You know everything inside us and still you love us. We do lift up those healing from various maladies today. We ask for speedy recovery, changed minds and open eyes that see the physical and the spiritual dementions. Lord make it so obvious when the dark forces are at play for we want to follow your lead and not cause pain. It is in your holy righteous name we pray, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Please please please feel free to ask if something is said here that makes you say, "huh?" Don't hesitate to ask for more info because we all are at different places in our walk with God.
Repentance is not changing oneself. Repentance is a change of mind and then going to Jesus because he offers forgiveness and grace. Addictions can still haunt. Old habits can still be present. The world tells us;

Mar 1:15
and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the gospel.

and;

Mat 3:2
Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The Greek word here for repentance;
metanoeō
met-an-o-eh'-o
to think differently or afterwards, that is, reconsider (morally to feel compunction): - repent.

Isn't that interesting? It doesn't mean to change everything in your life but to change your mind and we know that the place for forgiveness and grace when we change our mind is with Jesus the Christ. With Jesus then does our life turn around and we begin our walk into the hereafter, eternity. No one is ever "good enough" for the grace offered but by repenting of our way of looking at things then we can start to understand the Word of God and as a result, we change and become more like Jesus. Approaching repentance backwards will not work and I've heard and seen a bunch of people try it that way. It was hard for me to admit I was wrong in the way i looked at stuff but once I changed my mind,repented, Jesus' grace, forgiveness and love came flowing in. Think about this today...

Remember The Ford family...the Matt Miller family...

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your grace and love that leads us to repentance. Lord, we lift those mentioned, heal hearts and spirits. Touch your children today and open our eyes to real truth. Bless thos who are suffering and lead us to a better walk with you. Bless our tongues with your words so we speak truth with love. In your holy name we pray, amen

   Great morning! How are we faithing today? It's hard to maintain our Godly demeanor isn't it. It's tough to walk piously around the hoodlums. "If all these people would just leave me alone I would be better off". Think about that. Isn't that rather selfish? Isn't that kind of like having a popsicle and hiding it in your coat? Nobody knows anything...for a little while anyways, until you get sticky and start attracting flies and dirt. Stop trying to be holy and trying to appear perfect. You ain't and you cant. Do we watch and control our behavior? Well of course we do but those things do not make you holier, gooder or even closer to God. When we seek God and his ways because we believe and love him the result is we get better but if we act better to earn love and to get closer to God we will fail because that is opposite of how all this works. Don't read into this to far. Act on what you read in the Word. Do the things that Jesus told us to because we love him and know, even when it seems contrary or weird, that Jesus loves US and tells us for our own good. He doesn't tell us like a tyrant does but because he knows if we don't know and walk with the world, we will have to deal with many more things that suck. Don't make this more complicated or harder than it is.

Php 2:14-16   Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
  Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

2Ti 4:2-4
 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Heavenly Father,
   Thank you for your Word. Thank you for your love for us. Help us understand that we can't earn your love but that you loved us first. Lord, heal bodies, minds and spirits today. I ask a blessing on your servant. Make him aware and astutely aware of your presence today, in Jesus name we pray, amen

  Good morning! How are we faithing?  The trouble we have with helping lead others to the savior and guiding fellow believers is our eyes and ears. Our eyes see things as they seem and not as they really are. The spirits and principalities we fight are contrary to the Word of God and God therefore, our eyes can be deceived because they cannot see those spirits and principalities at work. We see the flesh at work and fail to stop and realize those fleshly actions are to be expected from the lost. The redeemed are vulnerable to the same things in the flesh as the lost if we don't stop and seek truth from the Word and the heart of God. Our flesh can consume our desires if allowed to operate in the worldly plane. Our ears deceive us too. We hear things that offend us and make us angry, sometimes justifiably so but what is the root to that person cussing and carrying on? We know that when someone is in pain they lash out. When someone is in mourning they can be rude. When someone is carried away with the fleshly desires they can be hard to approach. These are the things common to man and we have an example in Jesus for dealing. He stepped up without fearing reprisals because he loved us and understood actions and reactions. Sme times people need a good whoopin and sometimes they need a hug and sometimes the appropriate action can be mistakenly applied. Check this out...

 Mat 25:34-46
  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
  Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
  I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Russ,

Couple Things: First - Great Blessed Friday to you Sir.  This week you provided a completed related lesson that ties together in so many ways.  The first Book I read as a new found child of God was Romans.  This week I started my first ever Men's Bible Study - which the first 6 months we are studying Romans.  I've been trying to figure out how to best talk to, without harm or pushing away, my sister who feels that her life choices do not allow for her to be saved.  And though we've had some talks 3I want to talk to her more in the coming days as she is going back to Holland (which is where she currently lives, but wants to come home, but she feels tied there.)  At the same time I've needed Lots and Lots of Spiritual encouragement; to be Strong, to be Positive and more importantly come Home Positive with head held high and to not get caught up in resentments, etc. because this week we are finishing up on everything needed to close the purchase of a partner of our company and as the days get closer tensions become higher.

Because of your Daily Word, I keep refreshed, looking forward to what your word is that morning and how it applies to my life and so on.

Thank you.

Be Blessed!

Michael
