Great morning! How are faithing? It is so wonderful to have a faith and a belief system from God's Word for us to live by and to learn from. Things go on in life that just smack us up side the head and we wonder why they ever even happened. As I grow older physically my mind feels the same as it always has. Of course we learn more every day but have you really thought about that? Have you set yourself in your habits and ways of doing things so deeply that any change just throws you for a loop? Do you find yourself so abhorring diversity and change that you end up mad all the time? Yeah, I've caught myself doing it too. I've changed a zillion fan belts in my day and I saw a video of someone changing one in such a slick manner that it made me see that I still can learn something even as rudimentary as belt changing. Point is that learning never stops. On this same line of thought there are some things that are just the way they are and they don't change, or do they? Gravity is constant unless you are in space or on the moon. The principles are the same but the application varies. The one truth that never varies and is constant on earth and in the heavens is God and our salvation. One question is asked and determines where we are in eternity. Jesus the Christ, son of God and through him our only way to the Father, or not. A yes means eternity with him, a no means an eternity without him. The world argues this truth and is set in it's way and view towards this truth as it has since time began. This learning thing we just discussed remains true in the worlds eye, as long as that learning ignores God. Wow, they missed the mark on that one...

Phil 3:7-11
But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ-the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
NIV

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your wisdom that teaches us daily. Lord help us have an outlook and desire to learn. Lord we lift up those in pain and ask for a miraculous healing this day. Bless those who are lost and those who are seeking truth. Open the eyes of this nation to your wonderful grace and love and let these people know you are with us, in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? We need to lift the Haitian people up today. 7.0 magnitude earthquake in one of the poorest countries in the world. Calamity in this world really makes one sober up and be keenly aware of what is really important. Yes it's nice to have new carpet in the church but these people have no infrastructure anymore. What little they had is now gone. We are so blessed in this country and we need to remember that. This country will reach out to help like we always do and here is why;

Titus 3:3-7
At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
NIV

This nation was formed with freedom in mind. Freedom from tyranny and freedom to live according to each ones beliefs. That freedom based on Christian values causes us to be compassionate to the rest of the world. This is good and noble. How can we be silent when we have such a savior as we have? How could we not help when suffering takes place? This also applies to you in your little section of this world. Are you forthcoming with compassion and love for the lost? Do you see physical needs in your neck of the woods and act accordingly? When we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus we are obligated by direction but more by desire to reach out to the lost we encounter. Here is something to remember if we get a little bound in our own deal and forget whence we came;

Col 2:13-15
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
NIV

Praise God! Remember the Haitian people today and the rescuers...remember Mark M...remember Floyd's friend...remember to rebuke the spirit of alcoholism...

Heavenly Father,
We praise your holy name and we ask for your touch on the people in need today. Lord we lift those mentioned and ask for a touch that will heal. Lord, sometimes we don't know how to pray and we just want to be held by you. Comfort us and equip us with a compassion for the lost. Lord we come before you with a desire to serve you. Calm us and show us your path. We rebuke the spirit of alcoholism from our midst in your holy name. It is in that name we pray, amen

Good Evening everyone. My family and I are in deep distress tonight due to the loss of my wife's uncle. To understand our distress, I will give some history. My father-in-law passed away three years ago. His brother moved from Alabama to Louisiana to help my mother-in-law. He had all the right intentions. My father-in-law was an alcoholic. He was full blooded Indian and loved his fire water. Great man, but finally on his death bed he received Christ as his Lord and Savior. Everyone was relieved at this and knew where he was going when he passed. His brother however was not convinced about God as far as I know. He also loved his fire water, but his life came to an end six inches from his front door. His small trailer was fully involved when we arrived. I believe that it was the worst feeling that I had ever had in my life. The only thing that went through my mind was "Six Inches from Salvation". I hope that I am wrong and that he is with the Lord. Please pray for our family. Please pray for his children that haven't spoken to him in years. I know you will and have comfort in that.

Good morning! How are we faithing? The turmoil and strife we encounter on this earth can be so overwhelming but we have solace and we have a peace from God that is not even understandable. I had a harrowing experience the other day while driving. I thought,"ruh roh...this is gonna hurt" but to my amazement, I didn't get frightened but keenly attuned to what was happening. When it was over, that nervous laughter ensued and I realized that it shouldn't have turned out as well as it did. Of course thanksgiving followed. "Thank you Lord" and "well I guess it ain't my time yet" were spoken aloud. We all encounter things that baffle us and often we cant for the life of us figure out why those things are happening. Then there are those times that we realize what we did and thusly, we're about to reap what was sown. Our Lord knows us better than anyone including ourselves and he knows what the consequences of our actions will bring therefore why do we not do what God says and leave the fallout to him? Think about that...

Luke 12:4-7
"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
NIV

Matt 6:26-27
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
NIV

Good morning! How are we faithing this cold cold day? Alot of things have happened this week. Many conversations and many events that have made me think and ponder. I'm seeing hurt, anguish, loss, trepidation, anxiety, happiness, joy and peace. We all meet with these things every day. Sometimes well removed from us and sometimes we are the focus of these things. The only constant in all of it is the privilege we have to go before the throne and we should remind ourselves to do just that whenever good or bad comes. Go immediately and I mean as soon as you are consciously aware. Man, God is in control, God knows all and he wants us to come to him without reservation and boldly. Us praying is for us. He knows already like we said but because of our makeup, the communion with him is brought about by prayer. By recognising we can do so because of his son we find that peace and joy. The ability to cry and mourn while simultaneously filled with peace and joy is only able to take place when we know Jesus as Lord and savior and even then we humans struggle so without Jesus, despair. I don't ever want to quench the Holy Spirit. I don't ever want my love and this peace to ever wane. These things we endure do have a purpose. We grow stronger and are able to be the next generation helping the young come up. I do look back and roll my eyes at the stupidity I've committed and try to learn from those mistakes. Do you or do you continue as always? These verses are really good at helping us focus and live in a manner fitting for someone who has a grace beyond understanding poured all over them.

1 Thess 5:12-28
Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.
Be joyful always; pray continually; 18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
Do not put out the Spirit's fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil.
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.
Brothers, pray for us. Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss. I charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
NIV

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that guides us. Lord, help us gather all the compassion for others so you are seen and you are honored. We ask your Holy Spirit come and cover us and protect our minds from the assaults that may come. Keep that joy ever present even when we deal with calamity. Bless those listed today. Heal heart,minds and bodies for your honor and glory, in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Check out the imagery in these verses;

Mic 4:1-5
In the last days the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.
Many nations will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide.
They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
Every man will sit under his own vine and under his own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the LORD Almighty has spoken.
All the nations may walk in the name of their gods; we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.
NIV

Man! Each sentence provides amazing detail. The old testament has such a way of speaking that the stories told and the lessons taught jump off the page! You know what is real cool? The lessons learned about apply to us now. Those verses above instill confidence and assurance for our future with God. Read more of Mica and see the things talked about in your minds eye. It is awesome in its depictions.

Remember Jeff M.....remember Ann Shepard....

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word and the awesomeness it contains. We want to see you and your principles in our hearts and ask for better understanding. We ask that is comes so alive and relevant in our lives we need it as food daily. We lift those in anguish and those who are suffering loss this day. Keep them close to you and let them know you are holding them. Lord, protect the innocent. Guide our leaders and our troops, in Jesus name, Amen

RUSS, Today's Word spoke DIRECTLY to my heart! I actually copied it and sent it to my Mother, Wife, her sisters and a couple very close friends. Some of my biggest struggles are misunderstandings of what people said versus meant. Same goes for most people I know around me. Russ, you are a very appreciated Blessing with you Daily Posts and I want to Thank You for them.

I pray you and everyone on here have a very Blessed 2010.

In Faith,

Michael
