 Good morning! How are we faithing? I look at lots of different things others believe because one, I am curious where they came from, two, what is going on that would make one believe or fall for that thought or belief. We are creatures that desire comfort and ease and due to this culture and a variety of other conditions and influences we are exposed to, we can be led on a path that may or may not be correct. I surely do not claim to have all the answers but I do know where to find them. Sometimes they are evident and sometimes my understanding is lacking but if I seek truth in the Word of God I know that I will find it. Sometimes immediately and sometimes at a later date because of my lack that must be met before the truth becomes evident. The Word of God is the only thing in this world that is always constant and true and knowing this little tidbit is what helps when I discover something new to me and my flesh isn't real keen about it. All failures now and in the past were because of lack of adherence to the principles in the Word. Perhaps by others sometimes and sometimes by me. Pay attention to your thinking, your words, your thoughts, your desires and see if they line up with scripture and if not, why. Salvation is necessary and we have a savior in Jesus the Christ so do this as an exercise to promote truth and love in yourself and your influence on others because leading the lost to Messiah is what we are to be about don't you think?

 2Pe_3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

1Co 1:18-21
  For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.  For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the discernment of the discerning will I bring to nought.  Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?  For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom knew not God, it was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe.

Heavenly Father,
   We ask for wisdom and courage to see truth and to act accordingly. Reveal the lies of the enemy. Teach ua to recognize deceit. Show us your plan. Help us live upright and show your light. Let that light shine through. Bless those in pain. Bless the children. In Jesus name, amen

  Good morning! How are we faithing? People get ticked off  when told the Word from the Bible.   It's right here written down and has been for centuries and you are ticked? Gee whiz man, we have a guide and because we would rather do what ever we desire we choose to belittle a messenger who is letting us know what is holy and righteous? I don't know about you but I want to know what is good and what is not good. I want to know evil when it presents itself. As a history buff I read how a society repeats the same sins over and over and the results are the same. A knew batch of self serving leaders show up and think they can do it because they are smarter than those oafs who tried it before. Or maybe they are foolish enough to not even look at history and simply walk headlong into sin and debauchery. It just seems to me that if we profess Jesus as messiah and he referred and reverenced the Word written down that we ought to also. If the Word of God says thus and so is evil, it still is.

Jas 4:17
To him therefore that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Joh 15:22
 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your Word that teaches us right from wrong. Grant us wisdom to deal with everything we face day to day. Lord we do lift those who serve our communities. Keep them safe, alert and courageous. In Jesus name, amen.

   Good morning! How are we faithing? Consider the possibility that all prophecy in the Bible is true. Consider that a rapture will take place for God's people. Perhaps it will be explained away by  satan and his henchmen somehow to fool those left behind into thinking it is good all Gods people are gone so the human race can evolve unabated by things like sin or things "those freaks" called sin. Consider for a moment the mark of the beast is as simple as a cashless society. Maybe the ushering of a new world order that promotes peace but all around there are "skirmishes" of left over believers in God that turn into huge war like battles. Ah but a supreme leader with a great gift for oration seems to fix it all and those left on planet earth must take this somber holy mark of peace or they are labeled rebels and wont be able to buy food to eat. That'll flush em out so the new order can truly achieve peace and tranquility. You better pay attention to the signs people because its right before us, could be today, could be a hundred years away but everything we do has an effect on tomorrow. Everything we choose not to do has an effect on tomorrow. If we do not seek the Lords face daily we may get caught up in things we never dreamed we would. Todays comfort is not worth throwing away eternity. I know, "been like this forever and it won't change". Nothing could be further from the truth.

2Pe 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Mat 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

remember Marvin...

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your love and wisdom in your Word. Lord, grant us vision of events. Grant us courage to act on visions you place before us. Help us have an unquenchable desire to reach the lost. We ask for our tongues have your Word in them. Teach us to speak when necessary and shut up likewise. Lord we praise your name and it is in that name we pray, amen

 Good morning! How are we faithing? We ought to walk holy. We ought to not do the things we used to do before we knew Jesus. Repentance is a change of mind that results in a change of behavior. Where are you with this? Are you struggling with a continuance of past sin? Are you falling prey to an addiction or simply a desire? It does make a difference which it is because the place to get help would be different. If you are professing Jesus as messiah and you can't seem to get out of a known sin, seek help. Don't be embarrassed, you ain't the first or the last one to deal with this. Look at this;

Jer 23:14
In the prophets of Jerusalem also I have seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies; and they strengthen the hands of evil-doers, so that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them become unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

That would be a dangerous place to be would it not? I encourage you to go to your spouse, Pastor or anyone that is able to help you. Our desire is to improve and walk with God so anything that can help would be a prudent step no? Look, we were told many time in the Word about this so it stands to reason it would and will be a battle at times so stand up, face these things and seek the face of God. The blessing and the peace will be wonderful and you just might start sleeping better...

Rom 13:10-14
  Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: love therefore is the fulfilment of the law. And this, knowing the season, that already it is time for you to awake out of sleep: for now is salvation nearer to us than when we first believed.  The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy.  But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Heavenly Father,
  Lord we ask for courage to face our faults with the knowledge you already have overcome. Help us see truth. Help us see the needs of others and help them come up out of the miry pit that the enemy draws us into. Grant us the wisdom to see things as they are. in Jesus name, amen

 Good morning! How are we faithing? I listen to many bible scholars and teachers. Some really get through my brain and some just don't impress much on my mind. It's not their faults or even a problem,it's mine. Each one of us absorb differently and I encourage you to find a Biblical sound presentation of the Gospel that triggers your mind. Not content you want to tickle your ears with but a teacher that connects with you. Example, I have heard some teach the Bible and their content was superb but the presentation made me sleep. I have also heard dynamic preachers that taught fluff. I have also heard visa versa. Point is, find where you are fed real meat of the Word and your growth will ensue. We need to be sure and convinced of our faith and why or we are susceptible to lies. Test the spirits. Compare teaching to scripture and consider the whole Word. I know I have said this before but I admonish you to be aware because the enemy prowls around looking for a way to trip us up and if we are not diligent about our study of the Word, we can become prey. Context matters. Motivation matters. Scripture is clear and honest. Men are not always.

Psa 33:6
 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Isa 40:8
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Joh 1:1-5
  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
1Jn 1:1-3
  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
1Jn 5:7
 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
remember the Scroggins...remember Kelly Stanhope...
Heavenly Father,
   Let us not fall for the lies out there. Grant us wisdom to recognize the enemies ploys. Help us understand your Word and have it come to mind in every situation. We ask for your mind be ours. We ask truth be self evident. We ask for courage to stand for that truth. In Jesus name, amen

 Good morning! How are we faithing? It is interesting when we think about our Christian family 2000 years ago. They had the Old Testament which wasn't referred to as old, it was the only.. They had the Holy Spirit revealing things to them. They had eye witnesses to all the miracles and blessings Jesus said, did, gave while on planet earth. The saw the crucifixion, resurrection of Jesus. Then they saw him ascend into heaven. For years after all the Apostles died there were heresies and weird doctrine that cropped up but the first churches got together to dispel all the lies and satanic teachings. The historical side is fascinating as well as the eye witness accounts that tell of the events of that time. Granted as centuries came and went we can find examples of people screwing with doctrine for self gain and we know the Word warns us of that very thing. I want you to understand that none of the people preaching and teaching have 100% of the truth. Heck man, I research and read and study but I know enough to know I can get things wrong. I admonish you to double check what anyone tells you. I would venture to say most preachers and teachers that are seeking the truth and seeking God's face are harder on themselves than anyone else can be. If you run into a non humble know it all, be suspect. If you hear a doctrine that does not line up with scripture, it's suspect. I have found also in scripture there are situational doctrine and universal doctrine. Universal doctrine is like "thou shalt not steal". That one is a commandment and there is no wiggle room or misinterpretation. Situational is like, "women are to be quiet in church" but Pricilla taught. That one requires more historical study to discover what was happening at the time to know what was being referred to and why the statement was made. So with all this being said, remember that sitting in the pew on Sunday isn't enough. You have to dive in yourself and let the Word permeate your psyche. The Apostles saw Jesus and the events. We can't therefore we must be in the Word in order to even hope of living a holy life. Without the Word we are apt to follow bad teaching and fall into all sorts of worldly ideas and ways but be of good cheer, our savior has our back now get to it.

Eph 4:25
 Wherefore, putting away falsehood, speak ye truth each one with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for you love for us. Thank you for your Word that is the only nourishment for us that matters. Grant us wisdom to see, ask questions and act the way you designed us to. We lift our leaders to you and ask for vision in their lives. Let them know you are God and the only wisdom that stands the test of time is yours. Be with those on the road, keep them alert and safe, in Jesus name, amen.

  Good morning! How are we faithing? Voices. We hear voices from all sources. Which voice do we listen to? God is not a respecter of persons so do we listen to someones opinion or dogmatic statements simply because of who they are? Sure we do! We shouldn't but we do. Our parents told us some stuff that was wrong, not on purpose but because they were young and inexperienced at one time too. Our bosses tell us stuff that is wrong. Even our Pastors can be wrong. That is why the Word must be read daily. We also should know our Shepherds voice. I hear some supposed learned people say things that just don't seem right. Oh it may tickle my ears but it is still wrong. We have a shepherd who's voice we ought to know. I was at the U K farms and got to see a shepherd move what looked like a hundred sheep and I was stunned at how with his voice and with the help of a Pyrenees dog,  moved the entire heard from one end to the other. I found out later the dog didn't herd but was for protection. That meant  the herd knew the shepherd's voice and responded. So cool. So whose voice are you listening to? Man, wrong company can twist and rationalize thinking to the point we make horrible decisions. As a Pastor I get to hear from many people and counseling becomes more listening and asking questions than giving of advice. It flat doesn't matter who you are listening to if the words from them is contrary to the Word of God because wrong counsel will cause you to stumble and could cause a great fall. If you rationalize wrong choices, which shepherd voice are you listening to?

Joh 10:14-15
  I am the good shepherd; and I know mine own, and mine own know me,  even as the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.

Joh 10:27-28
  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
 and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.

2Ti 4:3-4
  For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts;  and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables.

remember the McKinneys...

Heavenly Father,
  Open our ears to your voice and yours only. Make words that are contrary to yours be full of static and noisey. Let us hear you speak so we are completely aware of right and wrong choices. We rebuke the antichrist spirit in our thinking. Let us see truth. Let us not be bitter or hateful. Let us do everything in love with  compassionate wise speech. Grant us courage to stand for truth no matter the cost. Thank you for your love for us in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? How do we reconcile ourselves to all the drama and hatred in the world? How can we deal with crime, selfishness and upheaval in every corner of society? What makes men do the things they do? Man, sometimes I have to shut the news off but I still hear of atrocities and sadness within our communities. I'm here to encourage you because unless you look to Jesus you will continue in the same things. Unless Jesus dwells in you, peace will not set on you and your house. Just look at the middle east. Look beyond the rhetoric and what is happening on the ground and one can see prophecy evolving. I am waiting for the morning when I awake and this is all over the news;

Isa 17:1
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

and;

Isa 17:14
At eventide, behold, terror; and before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that despoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.

Then followed up with news that they wont rebuild and this comes to mind;

Isa 25:2
For thou hast made of a city a heap, of a fortified city a ruin, a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.

As we watch the world react;

Isa 17:12-13
  Ah, the uproar of many peoples, that roar like the roaring of the seas; and the rushing of nations, that rush like the rushing of mighty waters!  The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but he shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like the whirling dust before the storm.

And then we watch as the "anti christ" makes a deal with Israel

 Dan 9:27
 And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.

This is just touching the prophecies but it should be enough to make you go look and study. People, time is ever close and we had better be about God's business and not our own selfish needs. You think things suck in your life? You ain't seen nothing yet and if you are not tight with the Lord, it'll be real bad and if you don't believe and have Jesus, it will be deathly for eternity.

   Keep us vigilant watching for you. Grant us wisdom and a controlled tongue so we may reach the lost before it's to late. Help our bodies be healed and able to do your work.      Good morning! How are we faithing this fine day? Lots of stuff to talk about but not near enough time or space so lets talk about just one. We had a discussion last night about staying the Godly course and how we look at things in this life. Being humble in nature isn't necessarily instantaneous at salvation. We are a new creature in Christ and are alive but because of dwelling in this mortal body, past events have impact on us. One comment was about past sins coming back to bite us on the rear. Yup. That happens. In this mortal flesh there are ramifications for our deeds and some times a price has to be paid. Oh we are forgiven. We have a savior that has paid for all therefore we can suck it up as it were and deal with those past sins however necessary. Let me tell you, when we prioritize correctly and put God first, we will endure to the end  and we can overcome intact. Be of good cheer ya'll, God is immovable. When you feel alone or that God is distant, remind yourself he never changes or moves, you do.

2Ti 2:19
Howbeit the firm foundation of God standeth, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his: and, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.

Remember Sarah.R today...remember marriages because many are under attack by the enemy...

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your love and guidance. Lord we ask for blessings for all the couples dealing with life. We ask for wisdom and courage to stand on your Word. We ask for revival and let it start in me. Lord we do praise your name! and in that name of Jesus we pray, amen

     Good morning! How are we faithing? It can be daunting trying to live upright and holy and let me tell you, our views can get cloudy. Life experiences cause more clouds to form as we live on. How you say? When we came to Jesus and were born again, everything took on a clear day view. Then life happened. I know people who have become disillusioned because nothing changed in their life. Oh they felt different but their position and circumstances didn't change like they thought they would. They thought God was a magic genie and everything would magically  be perfect the next morning they awoke after accepting Jesus. Truth is they are different and they do have new life but whatever they did before still has effects on the physical and if they keep on with the same actions, the same old things continue. I have had to struggle with doctrinal things because of life. The view of things being clouded because of life makes accepting Godly principles difficult at times. Truth is, our eyes deceive us. Our past deceives us. Results looked at without our participation viewed give a cloudy outlook because blame and unforgiveness keeps making more and more clouds. When I finally believed completely the Word of God, that is when the sky started clearing up. Knowing that I know that I know and that God is perfect and sovereign made me realize I can trust God completely  and that failure is in my weaknesses, not Gods. Any principle I see or hear about can be held up to scripture and if it is contrary, it is dismissed regardless of my past or who it came from.

Heb 13:20-21
  But the God of peace, who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, in the power of the blood of the eternal covenant,   perfect you in every good work to the doing of his will, doing in you what is pleasing before him through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for the ages
