Good morning! How are we faithing? We as believers have to to be careful what we take in visually, audibly and what we touch. It is real easy to succumb to things that trigger endorphins. Pleasure receptacles must be monitored because sins of the flesh are very damaging to ourselves and our witness. Stop trying to hide what is happening and confess those things. The Word tells us how important it is to confess to each other and rather than being embarrassed we need to do it so we can maintain that narrow path walk. The media and entertainment industry has set up sins against our own body as ok and even abnormal if we don't participate in them and yet when one does indulge, they keep it quiet. If it's ok then why isn't it in the open? Look here, we have got to reach out for help when we are in that condition. Pornography is so prevalent and accepted but it brings things that are suppose to be holy down into the ditch.  We need to pay attention to where our minds wander, where our conversations take us. Some things just don't need to be seen. One of my favorite funny car drivers just did a spread in ESPN magazine. Publicity I suppose but the Dad in me wants to cover her up. That's for whoever her future husband is. That is someones daughter. Hmmm, think about that men the next time you lust in your head over some babe on the street or in your office...

 Jas 5:16
Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.

1Co 6:18
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

2Ti 2:22-26
But flee youthful lusts, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But foolish and ignorant questionings refuse, knowing that they gender strifes.  And the Lord's servant must not strive, but be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing,  in meekness correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth,  and they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him unto his will.

Heavenly Father,
Forgive us our sins. Teach us to see things as they are. Lord we ask to have a mind for you and to see people and things as you do. Help us be wise and courageous to live holy. Lord we ask the lost see you in us and we have seek you for them. Lord let us confess one to another and to you so we can improve. in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? I want to encourage you today. I want you to know our Father in heaven cares for you and is reaching out to you. Your momentary woes are  just that, momentary. It may seem monumental but with God, it's a mere speed bump. In no way am I minimizing your pain but pause and listen;

Joh 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not.

See, if God spoke things into being, made light and dark, created time itself, we can be sure all the other stuff is beholden to God. We were made in his image and we have free will therefore when we commit infractions of Gods Word, calamity will follow. That being said it stands to reason following God's laws would begat peace. Now since we live in a fallen world because of sin, cause and effect is applicable. Here's the really cool thing. God gave us an out. God gave us a way to escape the death that sin brings. His son, our savior, Jesus the Christ.  Now if the Word of God made stuff it would stand to reason the Word of God saves us and his Word is in his son whom God said he is well pleased and we should listen to him. He said," I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me".  So why would anyone look for another way to God? He laid it out for us.

Joh 11:25-26
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live;  and whosoever liveth and believeth on me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Proceed with peace and love if you have accepted the gift of pardon. If you have not, hear this; believe Jesus is our savior, confess it with your mouth, be baptized. If you live near this writer, call, we'll find some water and do it. If you don't live near here, find a Bible believing house of worship or the like and get it done. Time is short, you may meet with an unfortunate tripping accident and not get the opportunity again. It would suck to get in front of God and have to tell him you just didn't get to it....

remember Thaddeus...

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that saves us. Thank you for your love for us. In the name of Jesus we command satan and his minion to back away and leave your people alone. We believe you are the only way to paradise. We accept the gift of pardon through your son Jesus. Forgive our sins, cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Come into our hearts and set up shop so we can be your servants and we can love as only you can. In Jesus name we pray, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? There's a whole lot of us quick to point fingers and chastise others who stumble and fall. Correction is necessary but be very careful. No one has it all figured out. No one is immune to mistakes. No one has any right to speak as if they are never are in need of correction. Our savior Jesus the Christ didn't want sacrifice but mercy. There isn't much of anything more irritating than someone who thinks they know it all and correct others constantly. Unsolicited advice is interference and we must be very careful not to turn people off by our own ego or lack of humbleness. Just like in Proverbs says there are times for certain things under heaven and by being in the Word daily we will improve but never will we improve to the point we are above reproach. Sometimes it is not necessary to speak up and some times it is. Sometimes the infraction is a result of some other problem and if we seek God's face and approach in love we may see the root cause, address that and the infraction fixes itself.

Mat 9:12-13
But when he heard it, he said, They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick.
But go ye and learn what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

Pro 21:3
To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to Jehovah than sacrifice.

Heavenly Father,
Oh Lord, forgive our sins and when we step out of line. Draw us back to your shadow so we may live upright and chast. Lord help us see needs and meet whatever we can. We do lift those who are lost to you. Draw them to yourself and use us if need be. Help us control our tongues in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? This has been a couple of weeks of turmoil and it is obvious that the enemy can't attack us straight on in some areas so he is using a flanking move. He is attacking peripheral things that effect us because he can't usually come at us where we aren't typically vulnerable. This is not new. These things are not unique. Since the fall of man this has been a useful tactic by the enemy because most times it works. The attacks start small and escalate. But here is something to remember when you are under attack. God is still where he always has been so as soon as we recognize the attack we need to stop focusing on the attack and run as fast as we can to the Lord. Get in the Word. Pray. Then approach the battle armed and ready. I had a conversation with a man yesterday that was still grieving over a loss of a Dad and while the pain is real, the pain was the focus and not the knowing that his Dad is in heaven, absent from the body present with the Lord.  It is a very effective ploy of the enemy to keep us in grief which leads to despair. Dangerous ground because that is actually a sin in looking at ones self at the detriment of others. If that condition stays to long, neglect of the things here can lead to all sorts of sinful things. So I gotta love this man, prop him up, pray for him and his, encourage and admonish as it is needed. I can't ease the pain, only God can. I will be the servant of Jesus and do as he says to do so when you recognize these things going down, remember who you are, a child of God, remember Jesus already whooped all this, these are just flailings from a defeated enemy, be quick to repent and start over. Remember the Prodigal son story, God is patiently waiting to hug you.

Joh 13:34-35
A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

1Pe 1:22-23
Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently:  having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that nourishes us. Help us be honest and trusting of your ways. Help us see truth clearly and be courageous to act on it. We do lift those up with various struggles of this life and ask you make it clear where and what is needed. Keep us humble and knowing that you are the reason we have hope. In Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? The source of information is very important because there are many misconceptions, faulty data and out and out lies. I find it quite interesting and at the same time so sad at the divorce rate in this society. I find the music industry, hollywood and social media seems to push extra marital affairs and sex for sex's sake. Those things say it's ok and even good for us to participate. The data does not support all those things that are glamorized. Exceptions exist of course but the percentages are alarming. I do not want to quote numbers because there are tons of studies and the numbers vary but what is interesting is the numbers do not improve and in fact rise when living together before marriage, sex before marriage, open relationships, alternate lifestyles and yet the media keeps pushing how great things are when one practices those things. A disproportionate number of single parent households end up with problem children.   Huge numbers of marriages fail even though they tried all those actions that were suppose to make it work. Why are marriages failing? Why do relationships entered into like the TV shows portray end all the time? Because the source of the information being given are all lies. The source is satan and his minion. These things are opposite of Godly principles therefore it stands to reason the results would be in favor of the source don't you think? God can turn our bad decisions around but only if we repent. Guys, I'm as guilty as anyone and I am old enough to have seen the results of my bad choices and in the life of many others.

1Th 4:1-8
Finally then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, even as ye do walk, - that ye abound more and more.  For ye know what charge we gave you through the Lord Jesus.  For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye abstain from fornication;  that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,
not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who know not God;  that no man transgress, and wrong his brother in the matter: because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.  For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.  Therefore he that rejecteth, rejecteth not man, but God, who giveth his Holy Spirit unto you.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that is the only truth. Thank you for your wisdom that I have access to in the Bible every day. Lord we ask for healings in marriages and other relationships. We ask your ways become our ways. We ask for courage to stand in the face of a huge media machine and be bold and charitable to help those caught up in all this cultures lies. Help us see the truth through the lies so we don't destroy our selves and others. We praise your holy name Jesus, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? When we have times of turmoil and or peril we have to remember past victories and we must be in the Word of God because if we forget those victories or neglect our time in the Word we will, not may, will stray. It may be simple forgetfulness all the way into rationalization of  bad behavior which leads to a  falling into old habits. Gee whiz man, we are creatures of habit and I know I catch my self doing that but if as soon as recognition occurs we repent and pray for forgiveness, peace will return. Man, stress brings a lot of this on and I know  that is when we are vulnerable. When we are vulnerable we look at and or consider things we normally may not. I am fortunate that I can say things to my bride, bounce things off as it were and get a perspective I may not have considered. Be sure to take the time to speak with our savior. Read the scriptures. Never think you have it all together and need no-one because if you do, the fall is near.

Joh 3:36
He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Psa 106:3-5
Blessed are they that keep justice, And he that doeth righteousness at all times.  Remember me, O Jehovah, with the favor that thou bearest unto thy people; Oh visit me with thy salvation,  That I may see the prosperity of thy chosen, That I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, That I may glory with thine inheritance.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all your blessings. Help us be in your presence and listening to your voice. Lead us on the path of righteousness and holiness. Forgive our sins and let us know your love never wavers and that the courage necessary for us to look in the mirror remains. in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? What an evening. Woke to my bride saying,"something is burning". Furnace blower motor on fire. Put it out. Was just about to tell everyone to bail...Only damage to the blower motor..thank God. I was angry. I was focussed. I was a bear to say the least. Tunnel vision and all. You know we are effected by things and I have taught over and over to pause and pray but I failed to do that immediately. My fire fighting mindset took over? My being awoke and half with it? I dunno but it was a lesson. My daughter and grand children are in town so I do remember thinking "not now" but things happen and it's up to us to seek the master in everything.

1Th 5:16-18
Rejoice always; pray without ceasing;  in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.

Rom 12:10-13
In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in honor preferring one another;   in diligence not slothful; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;  rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer; communicating to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.

Heavenly Father,
We lift those who seek your face in mourning today. Comfort and reassure them you have all this. Lord we ask for courage and wisdom to be the servants you designed us to be. We lift our leaders up to you. Bless and comfort them. In Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Things that come our way can be a huge surprise. We have things happen around us that blow us out of the water. Darkness has a way of creeping in on us when we don't keep our God light in front of us. Everything must be viewed from that light or we can, because of the flesh we occupy, drawn into the dark like a bat seeking a bug. As soon as we realize we have drifted into the dim area we must repent and move back onto the lighted path. There's is no shame in admitting you drifted off course. The shame is when we don't admit it and try to hide it or make excuses. We all do it and some of us are to stubborn to admit it quickly. Look, God loves you and just like the prodigal son you can come back in the light. Don't hesitate. As soon as you recognize, rebuke the enemy and seek God's face. The enemy is a wily evil being that wants to destroy you and me but our savior already whooped him so he's going after loved ones just to hurt him. The shame is not in admitting and repenting but in hiding and or rationalizing. I know from where I speak.

 Psa 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.

Rom 12:2-3
And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your light. Thank you for forgiving all my infractions. Please grant us wisdom and courage to follow you in every thing. Help us see needs and act with grace and compassion. In Jesus name, amen

Great morning! How are we faithing? I keep hearing over and over about how so and so did this to me or why are they living thus and so and claim to be Christians. Man, it is hard enough to keep ourselves humble, righteous and following Jesus without worrying about someone else. I pray for my bride and children all the time because I know what the struggles in life are and guess what? They can stumble just like I can so picking them apart serves no one but the enemy. Sometimes I don't like what my bride does or says and we talk but I also know I get under her skin too. Rather than throw my hands up I corner her and make her talk. Isn't always pretty but it's on the table and we are able to figure out what to do.  Gee whiz if I always criticized or worried about what she was doing I'd be a wreck and you know what? It's hard enough keeping me straight . Look at these verses and see what Jesus is saying;

Joh 21:19-23
Now this he spake, signifying by what manner of death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.  Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also leaned back on his breast at the supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?   Peter therefore seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me.  This saying therefore went forth among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, that he should not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

It's hard enough to keep oneself in line, why in the world would I want to worry about anyone else? If asked of course I will show scripture but geezoman, a hindrance I don't want to be and I think most already have a Mother, they don't need two.

remember the Fulfers...remember Alison...remember to encourage others...

 Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the wisdom in your Word. Help us remember it when we are about to mess up. We ask for wisdom to speak or not, the courage to concentrate on our walk and uplift rather than tear down others. In Jesus name we rebuke the enemy and his henchmen. Let our eyes see what you see in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Attitude. What is your attitude towards God's promises? Do you let what you see around you alter what God promises? Do you look at things unrealistically and use scripture for self motives? Do you wish and hope and plan and pray for your desires? Pause for a second. Explore the scriptures a little.  Do you think winning the lottery is what you need or want? Do you think getting that girl or guy is what is best or just for your eye pleasure? Are you coveting what others have? My Grandpa is dead and buried, is it reasonable for me to think these scriptures below tell me that if I want Grandpa back that he will?

Mar 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Mar 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

There are laws of this world. There are principles at play in this fleshly realm that are constant. The speed of light is constant. These fleshly bodies die. Gravity works. E=MC2.  This however does not diminish miracles or the power of God but we must realize some things are some things. I don't know why and many times I don't need or am able to know why. Our outlook on this life has to have a root in God or we are striving for the wind. A further explanation of the previous verses is this;

1Jn 5:14  And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:
1Jn 5:15  and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

His will. Yes we have desires and goals but his will is and should always be first. The results of my praying for the lottery may very well have ramifications that may ruin me and what father would let their child do that?
Remember Richard S...remember Kitty's family...remember Barb O...
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for clear teaching that prompts us and leads us on the narrow path to righteousness. Help us be wise and courageous to be who you designed us to be. Bless those struggling with physical and emotional times. Help them see you in everything. Lord we do praise you and thank you. Speak to us and let us know you love and care. In Jesus name, amen
