Great morning! How are we faithing this fine day? You know, my love of critters causes some perplexing thoughts sometimes. My compassion for these critters has roots in fundamental things from the Holy Scriptures. The Word tells us which animals were for labor and which are for food. It also tells us we have a huge responsibility with the dominion given us over them. When you gather all the scriptures regarding these animals God created it brings on an outlook towards grace before a meal of sincere thanksgiving and respect for the critter that died for our sustenance. We have a tendency to not give a hamburger a second thought but remember a life was given to support ours. Kinda makes grace and a thanksgiving heart much more important and sacrifice for someone else becomes much clearer. Gee, Jesus sacrificed so we could live too. Think about that...
Gen 9:3
Every moving thing that liveth shall be food for you; As the green herb have I given you all.
Pro 12:10
A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast; But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
Good morning! How are we faithing? I have dreams all the time and lately there have been critters involved. Last night it was 2 squirrels came running up to me and there tails were tied together with a piece of string. It looked like they had been playing near it for some reason and got tangled. I caught them and as the male one tried to bite me I calmed him down, untangled their tails, let them go and the female one ran up my chest to my neck and gave me a kiss. The male kinda just rubbed on me and looked me in the eyes and I could see his thanks. Fast forward and they came to visit, unafraid of me and Kat. I enjoy encounters with critters and I'm not sure of the significance most times but this one dream seemed to be telling me that regardless of the pain and in fact sometimes pain is necessary, we still do what is right because it is right. We help because we are children of God and the love in us compels us to. As we see where others are struggling we often can see the problem but they need to learn just like we did and by allowing them to go through they are stronger and wiser for it. Our job is to pray and support them during the lesson. It's hard sometimes to not try to fix or do it for them and we may even endure mistreatment for it but remember that when they come out the other side, they will be better for it and we will have done what we needed to do for them. Doesn't matter if we get recognized, it matters that they progressed. That's love right there...
1Co 13:4-7
Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil; rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Col 2:6-7
As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and builded up in him, and established in your faith, even as ye were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Good morning! How are we faithing this fine day? Who heals your heart and mind? Who heals your spirit? I hope and pray it's God and not the bottle, a vice or stuff. We all carry baggage from the past and we all have some damage because of it. Some are bad and some just a pain in our rumps. Recognizing where the roots of anger, lies, and even plain old dissatisfaction are growing allows us to dig up those roots and deal with them. There are some things we make into bigger things than they ought to be and this is our selfish nature coming out. Many times our perceived anguish is self inflicted. Reading the Word to find real truth does indeed help us approach those things that slap us down or hinder us as it were. As soon as you recognize a root, deal with it. With a quick prayer for protection so the father of lies can't take away the realization, then be honest with yourself and call whatever it is what it is. Squashing it down and "manning up" is not prudent most times and begets all sorts of inner struggles that take our eyes off God. Be quick to pray and to give over these things to Jesus, he's bigger and a whole lot smarter than you or I. When we uproot that root that we've buried deep, we can face it regardless of how painful it is and only then can we defeat it.
Heb 12:15
looking carefully lest there be any man that falleth short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby the many be defiled;

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that strengthens me. Lord we ask for any bitter root that is buries in us come out. We stand on your Word and promises that you will heal us. Help us see that root that grows discontent and malice and help us remove it from the soil. Help us deal holy with that root that slays us. In Jesus name, amen
Good morning! How are we faithing? I am guilty of paying to much attention to life and the accouterments involved rather than those of God. I get concerned with bills, the house, the car, the cupboards etc. Natural I suppose but so are many other things that lead us astray. If one looks at those things one realizes that it is very selfish. I have a friend that had a successful business and sold it all including his house, bought an rv and hit the road at the Lords prompting to evangelize. Now not everyone is called to do that but the willingness to shed the things of this earthly comforts is a real inspiration to me. How free. How unencumbered. When I listened to his story of how it all came about, it encouraged me because of the awareness of the opening statement. Consider the message Jesus was telling in these verses;
Luk 12:22-34
Then Jesus told his disciples, "That's why I'm telling you to stop worrying about your life—what you will eat—or about your body—what you will wear, because life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the crows. They don't plant or harvest, they don't even have a storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds! Can any of you add an hour to the length of your life by worrying? So if you can't do a small thing like that, why worry about other things? Consider how the lilies grow. They don't work or spin yarn, but I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. Now if that's the way God clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and thrown into an oven tomorrow, how much more will he clothe you—you who have little faith? "So stop concerning yourselves about what you will eat or what you will drink, and stop being distressed, because it is the gentiles who are concerned about all these things. Surely your Father knows that you need them! Instead, be concerned about his kingdom, and these things will be provided for you as well. Stop being afraid, little flock, because your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom. "Sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor. Make yourselves wallets that don't wear out—a dependable treasure in heaven, where no thief can get close and no moth can destroy anything. Because where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
I don't believe he is telling all of us to dump everything we know but the message is clear. Don't let all those things become more important than they are. Don't give those things a more place of importance than they ought to be. Just think today if these things are holding you back from a close walk with the Lord. These things ought to enhance and not detract don't you think?
remember the Ray Walters family...remember Petra Phillips...
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the talent and the brains that allow us to get the things that add comfort to us. Open our minds to their place. Lord we ask for wisdom and opportunity to give and to receive honorably and righteously. Lord, help us with our unbelief and with our reliance. Let it be on you. in Jesus name, amen
Good morning! How are we faithing? Who do you listen to? Is there anybody you believe every word that they speak? Have you ever found out something that was said by that person that was false? Did it blow your perspective? Did your trust feel violated? Let me advise you to put in your head, all men and women can fail. All mankind will at some point be wrong. Ron Reagan said something way back, "trust but verify". We must be in the Word of God because it is the only truth that has stood for thousands of years, even our history books are being found out to be inaccurate from time to time. Many times this is not a case of dishonesty or blatant miss information but just an innocent mistake. We should remember everyone can err therefore check for yourself, besides being better informed you also will learn and gee whiz, life is full of things to learn and that sure makes this walk interesting...
Psa 25:12
Who is the man who fears the LORD? God will teach him the path he should choose.
Joh 8:31-32
So Jesus told those Jews who had believed in him, "If you continue in my word, you are really my disciples. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Eph 5:15-16
So, then, be careful how you live. Do not be unwise but wise, making the best use of your time because the times are evil.
Good morning! How are we faithing? This being the 2000 year or so anniversary of Passion week we need to remember what this is about and what we have as children of God. Because of our Savior, Jesus the Christ, we now are eternally alive whereas before we were spiritually dead. I am simply in awe of the things God is doing around here and over and over I keep getting reinforcement of his love for me and for you. I keep dreaming of this atheist friend I have and I want him to come to know Jesus. As I keep praying for him, I in my flesh, am scared he wont ever see the truth but my spirit knows he will. He may choose not to act on it and that bothers me because if he found the truth and started sharing, he would have a huge influence on a pile of people. Pray for the lost reverently this week end because this is why Jesus paid for our sins...all of us and all of our sins...
1Jn 3:1
See what kind of love the Father has given us: We are called God's children—and that is what we are! For this reason the world does not recognize us, because it did not recognize him, either.
Great morning! How are we faithing? It's a week of remembrance of our savior. This is the passion week we remember when Jesus endured whippins, crucifixion and then rose from the grave. No I don't profess to understand how he rose from the grave or even how he survived all that flogging and never broke a bone but suffice to say, I couldn't do it. He became sin even though he never sinned. His love was so big for us he gave his own skin, life and a separation from the Father so we could have a path to God. Because of the sacrifice Jesus gave on our behalf we are now able to call upon the Lord directly. No yearly visit by the priests to the holy of hollies for our sins, no blood to cover our sins, Jesus did it all. Because of this and because of what Jesus has done in my life I can only be a witness that leads others to the same savior I found. This Friday and Sunday we remember and celebrate these things. These are the things we now praise and thank the Lord for because without these things we are remembering, we would be lost forever...that would suck man...
Luk 22:17-22
Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and said, "Take this and share it among yourselves, because I tell you, from now on I will never drink the product of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." Then he took a loaf of bread, gave thanks, broke it in pieces, and handed it to them, saying, "This is my body, which is given for you. Keep on doing this in memory of me." He did the same with the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant sealed by my blood, which is being poured out for you. Yet look! The hand of the man who is betraying me is with me on the table! The Son of Man is going away, just as it has been determined, but how terrible it will be for that man by whom he is betrayed!"
Luk 22:70
Then they all asked, "Are you, then, the Son of God?" He answered them, "You said it, I AM."
Good morning! How are we faithing? Listen up....put on the armor of God before you leave the house. Pray for a hedge of protection around your house so the enemy can't come in. Try donning the armor before you roll out of the sack. Make your requests known to the Lord and remember He knows what you need and your heart. The Lord will speak to you with confirmation and encouragement and the enemy will try to discourage you and accuse you. There is how you recognize who is speaking to you. Go out with that armor on with confidence your savior walks out the door with you....
Rom 13:12
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
2Co 10:3-7
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.
Remember Don and Sherri...remember the Harold family as they travel...
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that is with us. Lord we lift the mentioned to you. Keep them safe. Keep them secure in your love, in Jesus name, amen
Good morning! How are we faithing? Interesting day yesterday. Saw both good and not so good things happen to others. I find I want to take the pain away in the people I meet. I find I want to help them heal. I find I want to show them how Jesus is calling and while a life of ease and comfort is not what is promised, strength, peace, love and a softer heart is what he gives. Those things get so twisted with the way things have gone in organized churches. Perhaps the perception of those churches is what has many a tad topsy turvy but think on this, why is the perception so off many times? Because of us. We sin and jump on others for the same sin. David did when he had that affair with Bathsheba and even went to extremes to hide it. When a similar case was presented to him by the prophet Nathan, David was quick to condemn the offender only to find out it was him that Nathan was speaking of. All is known by God so we can't hide anything. We have to be open and honest and not let our ego get in the way of repentance. We must be open to the Holy Spirit when he prompts us to fess up or to humble ourselves, even when it's to someone that makes us want to scream. We are held to a higher standard as children of God therefore being a person who puts on airs rather than being real is a sin also. If you can't speak without gossip or slander, shut up. If what you are about to say will hurt rather than help, is it necessary to verbalize it? Read 2 Samuel chapters 11 and 12.
Luk 6:41-42
"Why do you see the speck in your brother's eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you don't see the beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you'll see clearly enough to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
2Pe 2:14-15
With eyes full of adultery, they cannot get enough of sin. They seduce unsteady souls and have had their hearts expertly trained in greed. They are doomed to a curse. They have left the straight path and wandered off to follow the path of Bosor's son Balaam, who loved the reward he got for doing wrong.
Remember Jerry Glander's family...
Heavenly Father,
Help our unbelief. Help us be pure and real and not fake Christians. Let us be courageous in being humble and trustworthy. Lord we ask for wisdom so we do not harm your name. Take us into your arms and teach us to be your servants and your disciples. Thank you for this day and the opportunities it will present. In Jesus name, amen
Good morning! How are we faithing? I was sitting here relaxed listening to a favorite preacher when I heard in my head. "bunker drill!" Now anyone from the old days in the Air Force Fire Department remembers those drills. The purpose was to train us to react correctly at the sound of the alarm. It worked. Out of a dead sleep we were dressed in fire fighting attire and in formation on the bay floor. We must be trained with the Word of God for when the alarm sounds in life too. The Holy Spirit speaks when the alarm sounds. Be it a warning of danger or a fellow human in need or even just a physical reaction to protect the Innocent. We must train and be ready for all the enemy throws at us. We all have baggage of some sort, some are big bags and some not but all of it still needs a drill to overcome. Our past wreaks havoc in our lives and it is so perplexing sometimes to think something we can't change effects us so. The Word teaches how to handle things but one can't react or act accordingly if one doesn't know how. The best drill to participate in is the one where we pray as quick as we recognize things going awry. Also it is just as important to thank God when things go well. Either way you are focusing on God and that is where all the answers lie...
Heb 4:10
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Joh 11:25-26
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
