Memorial For Fallen Firefighters In Japan
There was a memorial for the firefighters that died as a result of the tsunami in March of this year. The memorial was attended by 700 friends, family and dinitaries.
250 professional and volunteer firefighters died trying to save their towns and protect the citizens when the waves moved toward them.
I had heard where in one villiage the entire fire company tried to close the sea wall manually because the power had been cut off by the earthquake and all perished.
In another a firefighter ran up into a watch tower to ring a bell to warn the people. Another firefighter reported the firefighter kept ring the bell until he and the tower dissappeared.

Another situation where it really didn't matter whether firefighters were POC or career. This amount of self sacrifice for others is what we are all about sometimes. May God bless these firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice for others. Amazing.

Not to mention also the firefighters who worked in and around the Nuclear power plants that were having problems over there too. Wonder how many of them now are experiencing physical problems or death?

I would figure in time to come there is going to be a memorial built for the firefighters who put themselves out there to work at the plants to stop the possibilty of a nuclear disaster by a meltdown of the cores.
Maybe like they do for the two cities that the atomic bombs were drop on. The names will be added after the deaths of the firefighters from being exposed to the radiation.
