Most in one day has been 19, several years back during an ice storm. Our department is also a volunteer dept. The longest run I've been on straight was 38 hours, was a company that manufactured plastic pipes.
Most calls was probably 8. 3 structure fires. 2 grass fires and 3 automatic alarms. Lasted us from 4a - 3a the next day.
Our Dept. was at a scene twice this last year, once in Febuary for 4 days and again in May for 6 days.
I had 36 one day (ice storm, with fires) when I worked Engine 4, they lasted anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour. I now work on a busier engine, we quit often have 15 to 20 although our daily average is 11. The least I have had in the last 6 years on Engine 3 was yesterday, we had 6. I have had a few days with 23, 25 or 27 somewhere in that area.
Oh come on that wasn't a scene...that was FUN! Ok, well maybe not.
Most in a day was 27.

Longest shift I've ever worked was 72 hours.
32 Mostly Aid Calls downtown.......
My engine averages 15-20 each day. I'm not sure what the most was. Probably somewhere in the 30s.
01./02.march.2011. 12h shift 19:00-07:00 ; one station with 12 men,
strong wind conditions
15 interventions:
8 fallen trees on different locations in the city streets
3 fires on buildings (2 chimneys, 1 trailer fire)
3 grass fires
1 false alarm
I had 21 in a 24 hr. Shift when I was work on a bus.
The times were from 10 min. To 45 min
