We try hard because of lack of money to equip us with some modern equipment. In Romania there is a single PUMA helicopter equipped for intervention in fire fighting and no truck with high capacity varied field trips. Can we manage the Community funds, but it;s hard being a rigid, military, centralized.
I;m glad you ;re ok. In our vegetation fires are low intensity and generally easy to extinguish. 2 years ago I had a forest fire in the mountains (Stone Craiului) we struggled to 20 days. That;s because we do not have road access to areas for trucks, water sources or avioane. In plus our materials are few and old (Druzhba, climbing equipment, communications, etc.).
I'd love to get back there and see Istria. If our plans ever take us to Croatia again, I'll certainly let you know. If you find yourself in Washington State, you have an open invitation to visit our Firehouse. Stay safe.
Greetings from Romania. Glad to meet you. In 2009 I was in Croatia (Dubrovnik) and a former great. We visited Tivat SLUZBA ZASTA VATROGASCI
I would like to mention. We have much in common. GOOD LUCK!
Hey buddy, Thought I would say hi from where I live and share a photo I took a couple of days ago at the beach, very close to my house... ok, maybe about 14-miles (22 km) to be exact, but thats close enough. Hope your world is fun and challenging. Let me know if I can ever help you out with sharing training information, any subject.
Stay safe!
