I got the second issue of "Fire Investigator Nanase" and can't wait to start reading. Just scaning it you can see some wild chapters in the book. Acourse it leads up to a third issue to come.
I mention the one series that I had read "Firefighter Daigo of Fire Company M" which there are 20 issue about a young man who gradauates from high school and goes out to train to be a firefighter in his city. The first you see him he has completed training and the first person he goes to show his uniform to his high school teacher a young female who becomes part of the story.
Now one thing about Daigo is that when he was young he became trapped in his house during a fire while trying to save his puppy. A firefighter breaks through a wall to get to him.
He tells the boy "Your a brave little firefighter" When Daigo reports to duty in Fire Company M the firefighter that rescued him is the captain and so begins a story about Daigo's many experiences, his friends and rivals and their stories which I think anyone can really get into.
I just hope to see more comics or graphic novels come out about fire and ems stories.
One thing I would love to have would be the animated Emergency Plus 4 cartoon that was on NBC on Saturday Morning back in the 70s when Emergency was on. I have collected the 4 seasons of Emergency on DVD and plan to get the fifth season soon.

The third Fire Investigator Nanase just came out this week if anyone wants to checkout the series along with Firefighter Daigo series.
I learned recently that DC Comics which has controled CMX which published Fire Investigation Nanase has dropped CMX and a few other operations under DC Comics. The forth part of the series was published but a fifth was due out and couple more of the series for the end but now the story is in limbo unless another publisher pickup the series.
A few American publishers of Japanese manga have either stopped publishing the books or went out of business.
Its rough because the business of getting agreements between Japanese and American publishers and then the art and story have to redrawn and translated before it goes on sell here. Sometimes it takes months between issues to get them out,
