What have you forgotten going to a fire alarm
I haven't forgotten anything (its hard being so good) but I've known one guy to forget a helmet, Oh snap I did forget my helmet once but jumped off the engine at the corner and ran back, got it and jumped on the next engine (I guess I'm not that good) so I did forget it but didn't get to the fire scene.
When I started driving I used to keep extra gloves because we were always short of them.

one glove... when i put on my gear, one of my gloves fell out of my pant's pocket, we're going and it was "oh #@!* where's my other glove... when we got back to the hall, it was sitting right there on the floor... lol

Since my gear is all kept in a bag I usually don't forget any of it. Now my hand held sits in the cup holder of my POV and when rushed (slow down Billy) I have left it there while jumping on the apparatus or getting out when responding direct. That happens less and less these days but I still find my POV strobes on when returning, in the apparatus, to the station. Good strong battery because even after eight hours my POV fires right up. Like most, I have at least two sets of gloves with me at all times. TCSS

Not so much fire alarms, but I lack that crucial part of the brain that reminds me to put on the nitriles at an MVA. I can't count the number of alcohol hand washes I've had. I swear sometimes I think it's some kind of Fruedian thing. It's not until I notice the color on the hands of a FF or EMT that causes the "S**T!!!" moment.

Its not really forgetting, but not long after I started as a cadet we got tone for station coverage, so we throw our gear on the truck, don't suit up or anything. It is also important to note that I share a gear locker with my dad. So I ended up grabbing his pants and boots, while the pants fit the boots were a little small... so when we got toned out from the other station it was a little tight getting my boots on haha

Smokes.... Pager.... Turn off my truck... turn off my lights... :)
One night managed to get to our second station, had on my bunker pants, grabbed our engine, responded to the call... figured out that crap, my helmet, coat, and mask were still in my truck back at the station.... the ONLY time I have done this.... ;)

I have forgotten my radio in my duty truck many times when I arrived on scene. Obviously I have remembered after I am standing in front of the residence and reached for it to give my size-up report. Since everything I need is with me in my duty truck I usually dont forget anything but hey! I havnt been walking on water lately either. Always room for improvement.

I've been known to forget my pager - which is embarrasing if I have to drive! Yes I've read the whole message, but memory sometimes slips when I have to check the street directory...

I just wrote my self up last shift for forgetting my lid.......not good. 19yrs on the job and still have blonde moments!
